anti tank missile warfare

i had witnessed though not involved in the fight between the hezbollah militant and idf. i m trained how to use some of this missile. some of my brothers who participate in skirmish against the merkava tanks. This tank is very hard to kill unless u hit it directly from the turret or from the front of the tank. But thank god this tank has one major weakspot, the engine is located at the front of the tank chassis and one hit in the front of the tank can take the tank out of action though not killing its crews. the mortar and inferior missiles such as sagger can use to do rest-enough for holding the israel. And kornet appears to be the most deadly missile. i sure hope that i have the chance to fire one of this missile but i think it is better that i never have the chance to use it because i don"t this war. i think both side are losers and the only winning party is extremist using the fighting as propaganda to boast their popularity(hezbollah not included of course).

Damn man. Like, that's crazy! Did Hizballah have any MANPADS? Just curious. Because Israeli commanders were afraid of sending helicopters because they thought they might get shot down.

Mr Hezbollah, it is indeed a good experience to converse with you who has witnessed this war personally and closely.

Since your location is Beirut, thus I would like to ask if the communication infrastructure of some parts of Beirut city are still functional. Also, can you mention about other weapons that you may have trained in ?

Thank you.

Welcome Hezbollah. It is very interesting to have someone like you on the forum. Hezbollah fought an almost perfect guerilla campaign against the Israelis I too would like to know how your brothers fought the Israelis. Your post shows how prepared Hezbollah was for this war-you know all of the Merkava's weakspots. I have another question for you-How many Hezbollah soldiers died in the fighting? Surely it can't be 47, or however many Nasrallah said it was.

Welcome to the forum Hezbullah. When I saw your name, I doubted that you knew Hezbullah or were a member, but from your post, you do know the Israeli tank's weak spots. So again, welcome. Anyway, as for how many guerillas had died...I would say greater than forty seven, but no greater than five hundred. Probably somewhere in between those two numbers.

the gap between israel military and hezbollah casualities is not too big. i do not the exact number but it should range between 150-200 members(idf death is 110+). most of them died in aerial assault. as all of you know hezbollah does have any missile capable to destroy israel f-16 and since most bombings were conducted from high altitude we cannot simply hit it with anti tank missile. anti tank missile is only work against low altitude aircraft such as helicopters used by the idf. furthermore it is a waste to use such expensive missile ineffectively agains aerial target. hezbollah fighter will rather use it against tank and land vehicle of the idf( which the missle is designed to do so and has high probabilities of scoring a hit).

The only threat to Hezbollah and Lebanon, that could not be countered, was the usage of F-16 jets. Thus, Hezbollah must persist in the acquisition of SAM systems. Since ground-based SAM systems may not be sold "openly" (as they attract political accusations to the supplier nation) shoulder-fired SAMs may be acquired by Hezbollah.

The Anza SAMs may be sourced from Pakistan, or Iranian SAMs such as Strela or the Mithaq-1 SAM which has been produced locally.

let not discuss about sam but discuss about anti-tank missile. most of us do believe that rpg can kill tank. but from my observation of the war, rpg rarely can damage tank unless you hit the tank from close range (35-100m) some damages can occur. but at that range the gunners will have to expose theirselves to enemy fire. but rpg did do a great job to cause more casualties to infrantry unit and thinner armour unit. but the merkava tank also did great job to protect its crew. though most anti tank missile hits disabled the tanks but the casualties among tank crew is low. lucky for us hezbollah that our priority is to inflict as much damage to the idf not massacring their personel.

Indianfighter posted a very far question to Hezbollah that deserves an answer;

An honest answer would be appericated.

Hezbollah did inflict large amounts of damage on the IDF Merkava tank. Which is one of the best MBT in the world. Since you,Hezbollah, seem to have been close to the action perhaps you have some pictures you could post???
