That would be crucial in my opinion. Whether it's a multi billion $ aircraft sales or a $50 shoe, marketing and 'word of mouth' advertising is everything.
If PLAAF has very good things to say about the SU 35s it certainly wouldn't heard the export market for other customers down the line.
Granted it's only 24 units however if I'm Rosoboronexport/Sukhoi I would do everything in my power including rolling out the red carpet and serving the best Vodka to not only get this sale right but to have impeccable post support transition.
Word of mouth is everything in the world of marketing especially with a big buyer like China.
It would be difficult for Sukhoi to grow if their only customer is RuAF.
