ISIS/ISIL conflict in Syria/Iraq (No OpEd, No Politics)

Brigadier
OK, so the answer to my earlier question is that Turkey/their rebels are attacking the Kurds, not the Kurds attacking IS thereby getting in the way of Turkey/their rebels. It smells to me that Turkey/their rebels might go all the way south to attack Syrian government territory and attempt to break the siege on Aleppo.
That would reactivate Russian sanctions which earlier proved very damaging to Turkey's economy.

now I went over several Twitter accounts etc. and it seems Rebels/Turks were shelling (not storming) Kurdish positions today; found this map:

Not exactly Jura
It was pretty clear that on numerous occasions, that the SAA have advanced to virtually the entire 1070 Complex, they have alsways pulled back as they were unable to advance and take all the way to the Hikmet school, which offered fire control over most of the district.

It does look as though the current advance is in part, a flanking maneuver to approach this school from 2 axis, in order to secure it once and for all.

I beg your pardon?
for World to see, below is the closeup of a pro-Government map posted by totally pro-Government source describing the situation as of yesterday, as I specified in https://www.sinodefenceforum.com/is...o-oped-no-politics.t6913/page-458#post-421091:

"The Syrian Arab Army (SAA), alongside Hezbollah and Harakat Nujaba (Iraqi paramilitary), captured several sites in southern Aleppo over the last 48 hours, putting them in position to seize the strategic 1070 Al-Hamdaniyah Housing Project. ..."

Maybe, but Turkey doesn't have to directly attack Syrian government territory. It can pressure IS and the Kurds to do so, and it can unleash its sponsored rebels.

Not quite sure what has upset you from my comment Jura
You expressed surprise that the 1070 Complex was not already fully under Government control and blamed it on Fanbois sources. I simply pointed out to you, that those of us that follow well known sources were well aware that the SAA had advanced throughout the whole complex on several occasions over the last month or so, but had pulled back to the Eastern half (as per your map graphic) on account of being unable to take the Hikmet school as well.

The latest AMN article today pretty much says the same thing again and also pretty much supports my contention of trying to take the school form multiple axis.

LOL nothing to be upset about, if you think Government has been able to move over the 1070 Apartments back and forth ... so shall be it :)
