Effectively PN has only 4 FFGs (F22p) as the other 7 FFGs (6 type 21) are very old & due to retire soon (awaiting for new acquisitions) + 1 Perry class (FFG) only for maritime duties (heavily striped by US prior handing over to PN).

Therefore, PN is in need of FFGs 6-8 along with 8 OPVs (18 - 20 vessels) to have a proper coverage of their coasts & safe guard SLoC.

You didn't answer the bigger question of why Pakistan thinks it needs a blue water force, since it can't match India's fleets and the resource may be better spent on additional submarines.

Believe, I elaborated my reply with all the queries...

Tell me from where you come that conclusion that PN is going to be Blue water navy, in the suggested list there are no LHDs/LHAs, no heavy DDGs, no SSNs??? That is purely for what I explained you in my previous post.

Anyhow, PN has no plan to be a blue water navy or to compete anyone & the planned acquisitions are very clearly for said reason. As far as SSKs are concerned PN has already 3 Augusta 90s & now inducting 8 more SSKs (Yuan/S80/Quing), 11SSKs are quite sufficient PN waters.

But the main problem Pakistan don' t have a sufficient budget for buy all in big qty about 7 bill $ and a big Army, AF to financed 600000 pers. ... !
And even 8 Yuan is a big effort what price eventually ? 200/300 mill $ by SSK as Kilo about ?

For SSK deal has been signed & believe finance arranged.

FFGs & OPVs are not big ticket items & as per the last reports design specifications & arm packages are finalized & talks are on for soft loans.

Has anyone else seen this? Looks like an upgrade to HQ-10 on a 053H3? I tried comparing the bridge to other pics of 053H3s and it matches.

The 37mm appears gone too. Perhaps replace with the 30mm cannons found on the 056s?
