The alternative is the variable air intake which is not synonymous with stealth, no thanks to the intake ramp.

Not really, after all DSI is driverless supersonic intake... A flying wing bomber obviously will not be expected to reach supersonic speeds.

So a standard fixed air intake with S ducts should be viable on such an aircraft.

I would say a stealth bomber is better than a supersonic one.

I suspect a supersonic bomber would have such a huge infra-red signature that it would be easily detectable.

No one was suggesting the bomber would or should be supersonic... it's generally accepted that it will be a flying wing.

According to the Chinese media, the military is developing a new generation fighter bombers that can carry 20- 30 tons, and be able to travel half radius 5-6000 km, max12 000 km, after mid air refuelling, it could travel around the world.

That bomber CGI seems to be depicting a Russian aircraft given the writing on the aircraft... and probably from a Russian artist as well.

Well, a flywing layout for a Chinese strategic bomber is the most reasonable choice for China:

1) Flywing design is good for stealth.

2) Flywing design is one of the most efficient design in terms of lift-resistance ratio, it requires one of the least thrust to drag a given payload: the thrust-to-weight ratio of B2 is only 1/2-1/3 of any other modern US/Russian bomber, including these 1950s B-52, thanks to its flywing layout.

Since China AVIC's main weakness is engine and this situtation will not change much in the near future, flywing is the obvious choice for China's strategic bomber design, its not only make a stealth design easier, but also address the engine problem.
