Is it the end of an era? Anyone notice there are no comments section on new Yahoo articles? This morning I was reading comments on the Ryan Lochte "robbery" story and now there are none on any new articles.

Yahoo was recently bought out as a business and separately may have millions of user accounts compromised, so take your pick!

An Ontario teen was reprimanded by police officers after she called 911 saying she was forced to go on vacation with her parents.

Northumberland provincial police received a call on Aug. 16 from a 15-year-old Mississauga teen who was in the Trent Hills area at a rental cottage with her family. She told officers that her parents had forced her to go on vacation.

According to Const. Steve Bates, when police arrived at the cottage, the teen’s mother answered the door with no knowledge that her daughter had called the police.

Bates told CTVNews.ca in a telephone interview that when officers arrived, the teen simply said that she didn’t want to be there. Other family members were also present.

Police determined there was no emergency and the teen was cautioned about the proper use of the 911 system.

According to Bates, the emergency line does sometimes receive unusual calls that are outside the accepted use of 911 but it doesn’t happen often.

Bates added that calls like these tie up police resources when there could be serious emergencies.

LOL, teenagers!

Brexit: Owen Smith opposes Article 50 move without vote

Owen Smith says he will try to stop Theresa May formally triggering Brexit unless she promises a referendum on the final deal or calls a general election to approve it.

The Labour leadership challenger said his party should not give the Tories a "blank cheque" on negotiations.

But rival Jeremy Corbyn said Parliament had to "work with" the result of the referendum.

------------------------------------------------
The rule is that negotiations on a divorce from EU start after a letter from the leaving country invoking Article 50 of the Lisbon treaty. After a deal is reached but at any rate after no more than two years the divorce will go ahead. Mr. Owen want the possibility of rejecting that deal so that that it will go ahead without a deal. Or rather he wants the divorce not to go ahead at all making a fool of the "Great British" electorate ......

No, he is trying to walk Brexit back into its bottle.

There is a pretty strong sentiment in the UK that the leave vote was mis-sold to the voters, because most of the bad things the remain camp were warning about have already come to pass, and that's before Article 50. Once that is triggered, those terrible consequences will really start to kick in.

OTOH, pretty much all the chief leave cheerleaders have all but admitted their case was based on a pack of lies and/or have ran off to not have to face the consequences of their actions.

A revote would almost certainly see the Brexiters soundly defeated, but no mainstream politican has had the balls to actually suggest it before because they are all terrified of being branded as 'anti-democracy', which would be the height of heresy in a western democratic country far worse than being accused of being a racist.

If you ask where is this photo? it was taken yesterday, 26 Aug 2016, at Tan Son Nhat international airport in Ho Chi Minh city, Vietnam. hundred of flights have been diverted or cancelled because the runway was flooded. It's not the first time this airport was flooded, last year there was a similar accident.

They revote in San Francisco all the time until "they" get the outcome they desire.
