At the end of the article.

THAAD poll

In a telephone survey taken by pollster Realmeter of 547 adults, Thursday, 44.2 percent supported THAAD deployment. Some 33.6 percent opposed it while the remaining 17.2 percent said they were uncertain.

By political inclination, 69.8 percent of those who defined themselves as conservatives were in favor of THAAD deployment while 23.3 percent disapproved.

Some 54.8 percent of the liberal and 47.3 percent of the center-left respondents were against THAAD deployment.

Concerning getting parliamentary approval, 51.1 percent approved of the idea while 34 percent said it was not necessary.

It seems THAAD is not universally appreciated by the South Koreans. The problem in western democracy is that 51% dictate instead of a overwhelming majority consensus, we have just seen it in Brexit. Will that kind of decision making good for the people and country in the long term? Nobody knows.

International political fallout of THAAD

During ASEM, Park met leaders from EU, Vietnam and Lao. No China and Russia.
It will take quite some time before these two are willing to talk about NK's missile issue with SK.

2016 seats distribution
All three opposition parties object THAAD, they make 55.4%. I think Park will refuse a parliament approval suggested by the main opposition.

The newest baby of ROK Navy. Based on Haeuri CG cutter. If you want some more specification post here. Lenght: 44m, beam: 7m, displacement: 2,100 tons.

That is the new ROKN Chamsuri, 211, Patrol Killer Medium Rocket " (PKMR) Patrol boat.

They are designed to kill North Korean patrol boats, particularly hydrofoils and hovercraft..

The displacement is 210 tons however and not 2,100 tons.

They are armed as follows:

1 x 75mm Main Gun
2 x 12.7 MM machine guns
12 x 130mm anti-ship/surface rockets
and anti-air missile defense electronics and perhaps shoulder fired missiles.

Max spewed is 40 knots and it carries a crew of 20.

... have a question:
of what type, and where, is the fire-control of the main gun (which I believe is OTO Super Rapido 3") please?

I mean on a Gumdoksuri it's obviously the Selex NA-25X (in red ellipse):

but I can't locate any on a PKX-B ... thanks
(of course I was looking into a similar position, shown below:

but it's something else there LOL

Well, because there's no FCR. It's just Hanwha Thales EOTS coupled with LIG Nex1 SPS-540K 3D surveillence radar. The 76mm gun is produced by Hyundai WIA. You can read more about it on navyreco ;)

What you pointed on the first picture is SPG-540K tracking radar, on the second picture you have EOTS.
