To fight forest fire and douse raging fire. Rescue ship in distress. Disaster relieve and evacuate civilian.
And of course resupply South China sea garrison and bring needed parts in case one of maritime ship get into trouble
Fast response ambulance and medivac. Maritime surveillance. Add radar and MAD you get subhunter
Yea quite useful plane I believe Bombardier has monopoly on fire fighting plane

I think the AG-600 that is under development could get the job done.
It is bigger so it could probably do better in terms of transporting supplies.
For fire fighting, they could just made a fire-fighting model.
After all they have the experience of retrofitting SH-5s to fire fight.
The PLA have demonstrated medevac with a Y-8 once and Y-8/Y-9 already is a proven platform for subhunter.
It might work better for some tasks, sure.
But I don't think it's worth introducing/developing a new platform just for that.

Well no problem but I was thinking of having one of those AG 600 station in say Yongxu and become organic part of base .
Having those separate special plane in the small islet is in practical. Not too mention there isn't enough space.
This single plane can do all those jobs and it will enhance the strategic value of the base.
All you need is modular operational box

True, but the term was that Bombardier was the only one.

On July 28, AC312E, a new light civilian helicopter developed by Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC) completed its maiden flight successfully in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province, marking a significant milestone in the development history of China's civilian helicopters.
Developed on the basis of AC311A helicopter, AC312E is a 4.2-tonne single engine light utility helicopter, seating 9 persons or 600 kilograms of cargo. It was designed for a variety of uses, including business flight, transportation, aerial photography, search and rescue, surveillance, fire-fighting and others.
Launched in 2015, the AC312E is slated for certification by the Civil Aviation Administration of China in 2017. Currently, the manufacturer has won more than 80 orders for the aircraft.

Pretty sure it is a twin engine helicopter, not single, and it was developed from AC312A, not 311.
Differences from AC312A are improved engines (don't know what model) and avionics (Rockwell Collins).
