Either way this run has been amazing I remember when they had 8 then 10 then 20 then 24 and still going !

Also it's done a lot of anti piracy missions

I wonder how many of the additional 8 are 054A or 054A+ with the ASW modifications.

Since the 17th are 054A+

Xiang Tan is at Kiel, Germany for a goodwill visit. Just in time for the annual sailing event and spectated by other NATO ships from a recent exercise.

Most likely not. The picture below was taken on the 19th of July showing that it is still under construction. Also note the Type 056-derived hull next to it.
