I think that most of posters here know close to nothing when it comes naval warfare so I wanted to point out one of the most characteristic things on the flight deck of aircraft carriers with a bit of history behind it since it was used the way it's today for close to 90 years.

Okay, nothing wrong with that, but the way in which you quoted him made it seem like you were making your statement in response to his post for some reason, which seemed awfully misguided.

That said, I'm not sure what you meant by "most of posters here know close to nothing when it comes naval warfare" -- are you suggesting that no one here knows what whip antennae are?

Too bad most of you take anything informative as some sort of attack on Chinese technology, warfare etc. Nowhere I wrote that it's inferior to anything or something like that. And yes, when it comes to those antennas it's a 'copy' just like you wrote. But that's not a bad thing as anchor or rudder which is on every warship around the world. And accept that Chinese Navy isn't showcasing any 'new trends' in that area and it's devoloping it's systems mainly because of the fact that it can't be imported rather than anything else.

I never said that you said anything about "inferiority," nor did I perceive it as any sort of attack.
After all it's not like I accused you of being any of the idiots who claimed that China copied everything (at least not in that last post).

Certain new pictures showing new things also start out blurred, and gradually clearer versions are released.

Those pictures are released by the PLA Navy. It's not like you register on a Chinese forum being Chinese, go the yard (or as close as you can to the dry docks), take photos and post them online like it's in other countries. South Koreans did it last year and it became some sort of international affair when they showed it South Korean TV.

On the other side - the info released by PLAN on the Internet is reliable and verified.

Lol, no, we wish it was the actual Chinese Navy doing the releasing.

The pictures of the kind he talks about is from enthusiasts and military watchers, but who have a tacit agreement with some elements of the military and security to allow them to publish certain images. If they post certain images which are too sensitive then their images would get taken down.

So the actual releasing of these images itself is not done by the Navy or the military directly, rather they outline the vague rules of release which certain photographers and enthusiasts follow.

So, we are done measuring our phallic lengths and thInking we're know-it-alls, yes? Excellent.

There was a lot of fog when the photo was taken. There are six modules left to install: one on the bow, two on the port side overhang, and three more for the deck.

I have some doubts about that Blitzo, snd I've had them for a long time now. To me, it seems more likely that the PLA is releasing these leaks and making them seem grass-roots. That goes for practically all the leaks of all Chinese weapons systems. They're just too...orderly?, I suppose, to be all grass roots.

What difference does it make if the images shown are not from a fanboy and have been processed in self-censorship, but directly derived from the Navy?

Here's an interesting article, especially that second to last paragraph in regards to China's 2nd domestically built air craft carrier has already started construction assembly (perhaps modules) in some secret shipyard in Shanghai.

China Likely to Become Aircraft Carrier Superpower Soon
07/24/2016 07:21 pm 19:21:09|Updated5 hours ago

By Hong Soon-do, Beijing correspondent,AsiaToday- It seems that China is ready to launch its first indigenous aircraft carrier (CV), the Type 001A, by the end of the year. As a result, China, which operates a rehabilitated ex-Soviet aircraft carrier, is expected to become a full-fledged aircraft carrier operating country soon. Furthermore, it’s certain that the country will continue to bring more domestic aircraft carriers into service to turn itself into an aircraft carrier superpower.

Such observation is not an exaggeration considering the recent images and videos of the Type 001A, which shows that it is almost complete in outward appearance. In fact, some of the state-owned media outlets claimed Sunday that the 001A is at the final stage of construction, added that the era of domestic aircraft carrier is here.

The fact that China is constructing a domestic aircraft carrier is not a surprise. In a news conference at the end of last year, China’s defense ministry spokesperson Yang Yujun announced that its navy is building China’s second, but the first indigenously-built aircraft carrier in Dalian shipyard. Furthermore, it has been also revealed in mid-June that the installation of the ship’s ski jump, one of the major parts, has begun.

However, it’s a quite different story, considering the fact that the Type 001A is China’s first domestically built carrier. For instance, the United States, who once looked down on China’s technology before, is now keeping an eye on the carrier’s construction process.

Moreover, China’s second locally designed and built aircraft carrier is under construction in secret in a shipyard near Shanghai. The Chinese Navy’s plan of deploying 6 aircraft carriers including 2 nuclear-powered ones by 2025 is not an empty boast.

At present, the Chin’s military strength falls far behind those of the United States, its potential enemy. However, the gap will be narrowed down significantly if China’s indigenous aircraft carriers begin to enter service. This is why the U.S. is keeping an eye on China’s recent action.
