PM of China and Vietnam meet in Ulaanbaatar

Briefing:
1, VN takes relation with China as supreme priority of its diplomacy.
2, VN will continue biliteral negotiation based on current consensus with China.
3, VN respect China's stand to SCS arbitration, suppose the issue should be solved properly by negotiation.

After witness a navy exercise involved by more than 100 ships, Vietnam showed their sanity.

And does Vietnam's official sources actually affirm the Chinese version...?

hmmm, the clique confliction within Vietnam authority is quite complex, for example, VN ministry of diplomacy spokesman supported the arbitrarion after the result was shown.
So, even if the PM had said so, the final decision of VN is still not sure, not mention the excuting of policy.

But as for this news itself, it is credible, for both PM are attending Asia-Europe Meeting.

And did the official Vietnamese delegation affirmed the Chinese version? If not, then it's just China's opinion.

Sry for I can't read Vietnamese, rly.
So for now, yes, it is only Chinese news.
However, I can't see any motivation Chinese media would fake a meeting between PMs to pretend VN supports China...
We all know that VN actually occupied most (29) of Nansha Islands, Beijing would never fantasy Hanoi would back up Chinese opinion:rolleyes:

With the ruling of a dubious international tribunal somewhere in Hague in hand, the creator of the post-WII "liberal international order" (whatever that means) and guarantor of global peace and security now has a fresh "mandate" to play both "good cop" and "bad cop," at least, that's what the media portraits:

When dealing with China, it pays to listen to what it says.

Unfortunately, the west often fails to do just that, instead preferring to hear what they want to hear.

China has declare the SCS islands to be a core interest. It has said it is ready to defend its interests. Yet, Americans still seem to believe that China is somehow bluffing, much like how MacArthur believed China was bluffing about Korea.

Fortunately, the Philippines no longer seem to share such certainty. The Scarborough Shoal incident, where two unarmed Chinese civilian vessels faced down a PH warship, made them realize that it doesn't pay to be confrontational toward a giant neighbor. Oh, it didn't happen right away. It took years, with lots of bluster about how the Americans will support them in a fight. However, as time passed, and PH fishermen were chased out of the shoal, and American commitment to defend the disputed islands still lacking, they realized that a change in tact was necessary.

Indeed, unlike western politicians who are full of hot air and constantly saying what they don't mean, Chinese leaders and spokespeople carefully weigh and measure every key word they say.

That is why it takes so much longer for the Chinese state to come out with initial responses to breaking unexpected events compared to western gornments. But when China does speak, you really should listen.

China doesn't play poker like the west, they don't bluff. Unlike the west who draw lines in the stand without any thought as to whether they are hold that line, when China draws a line, the do so because they are willing and able to enforce that line, and it would be a grave mistake to cross such lines and expect no negative consequences.
