Airforce.ru has a mouthpiece in Berkut for the key aviation forum, the rumor about the first flight never was called official and very few Russian websites reported it.

Rostec reported the first flight of Ka-62 on April 29th 2016,

So by May they changed the story for a new first flight programmed for May.

I keep my cool. i never supported the rumor, but i always i keep a healthy open minded attitude, so i give to the rumor its chance to be proven right.

The rumor, Berkut Asokh and other rumor spreaders, since there is no proof have changed the story, they said first flight 23rd April 2016, it did not happen, later they said first flight 27th April 2016, it did not happen so now they changed the story one more time to first flight May 12th

Первый полёт 6-2 был перенесён из-за проблем с установкой капотов двигателей и из-за несанкционированного срабатывания системы пожаротушения, а также из-за проблем с некоторыми рулевыми приводами и более мелкими отказами.

The first flight of the T-50-6-2 was postponed due to issues experienced with

  • the (on-board) fire-protection system;
  • the cowl installation;
  • certain steering transmissions,
plus because of some minor glitches.

На базек ЛИиДБ в Жуковском 5-10 мая будут проведены частотные испытания с доработанными килями, 12 мая по плану - второй полёт, 20 мая - сдача ОКБ.

Between May 5 and 10, the vibration testing of (the recently) modified vertical stabilizers will be carried out in the Sukhoi Test Center in Zhukovsky near Moscow; the second attempt at flying the T-50-6-2 is scheduled for May 12, followed by its delivery on May 20.

(just for me: ЛИиДБ = лётно-испытательная и доводочная баз)

Between May 5 and 10, the vibration testing of (the recently) modified vertical stabilizers will be carried out in the Sukhoi Test Center in Zhukovsky near Moscow; the second attempt at flying the T-50-6-2 is scheduled for May 12, followed by its delivery on May 20.

Sadly, he's unable to get into big-boy mode??? but the onboard fire-protection system is very important given that 055 was destroyed by fire, obviously some fitment issues with the cowl, and high-speed taxi showed some issues with the steering?? These are ALL normal off the line pre-production prototype issues.

I was astounded when the J-20s initial flight test of 2001 went off without the days/months delays that normally occur with first flight or shortly after first fligh. They seemed to blow through those early days.

This is actually the norm in the aircraft industry, and while our little buddy can't admit this is T-50 6-2, the redesigned vertical stabs being modified does in fact confirm that Deino's sources are right on and Sukhoi is NOT going to take a chance with another fire which set the program BACK nearly a year and a half???

i do not think you understand well, airforce.ru posters, have been the sources Deino uses, in fact, the whole T-50-6-1/2 comes from the same posters that claimed T-50-6-2 flew last 27th May 2016.

Airforce.ru is even a forum i have a logging name, i even post there, i know there are a few ex-soviet pilots posting there, once i talked to a Soviet MiG-23 former pilot there.

So the forum like aviaforum.ru and many others have pilots, some very nostalgic.

Now let us see if the T-50 flies on 12th May 2016, i doubt it, why? they said, the same guy, it had already flown on April 27th 2016, because there is no proof in fact if you go to UAC

He lists very specific reasons why the aircraft has NOT first flighted, high speed taxi tests, are up to flying speed and then backing off the throttle, that's how they discovered the steering issue. HIs anecdotal evidence and his history add up to a more reliable source than yours??? Particularly when U can deny the destruction of 055, when anyone familiar with aircraft construction cans see the engine and center fuse are toast. Burned and lots of fabric hanging,, toast., you can't restore the structural integrity of carbon fiber after that.

The center fuse/center section must be very strong, and structurally like a bridge to do its job.
