"Ultimately, what it comes down to is “he thinks we’re stupid, while we think he is,” she said."

This last sentence of the article says everything.

REAL mutual respect based on acceptance of differences (even the toughest ones) is a must for people from different cultural and upbringing background to live together, it is true in every aspect of life, dating and marriage is only one of them.

On the specific case of Chinese dating Westerners, politics and more so its deeper cultural backdrop is a primary obstacle, and may be the cause of the disparity of male/female ratio. I will leave some key points and leave the analysis and conclusion as it seems to me to be very straight forward.
  1. In a confrontation caused by the difference, the one who often accuses is the attacker, the other being the defender. Although the accuser think he is defending somebody else or some high value, he is still an attacker within the scope of that specific conflict.
  2. Men by nature are more political than women due to the evolution process from hunting >> fighting >> politics. So in a relationship men is more sensitive and fast-holding his political position then women, women will tollerate men until men pushed his view too much.
  3. Nobody, men or women, want to have a relation that is full of political argument, both will avoid entering such relationship.
  4. Due to the fact that women is more tollerating to the political aggression of men, women are more willing to take the risk to enter a relationship with a high potential of such kind of conflict.
  5. Western women are more political than their Chinese counterpart due to their long struggle for equality. This is the first key point to the difference in ratio.
  6. Chinese (to a great extent also people in the Sino cultural sphere), both men and women, relatively (compared to westerners) are less confrontational, willing to keep the difference to themselves, BUT NO MORE willing to abandon their position than westerners. The second key point.

Student given $4.6m in bank error 'transferred $5k per day '

The Sydney student accused of going on a $4.6m spending spree after a banking error gave her access to unlimited funds allegedly squirreled away $1.3m into secret accounts.

Christine Jiaxin Lee, 21, was arrested earlier this week trying to board a flight to Malaysia and has been charged with dishonestly obtaining financial advantage by deception and knowingly dealing with the proceeds of crime.

According to The Daily Telegraph, police will allege Ms Lee transferred $5000 per day over a nine-month period in several bank accounts across Australia.

The payments were small enough to fly under the radar of banking officials.

The chemical engineering student was given access to the extraordinary amount of funds when Westpac accidentally linked an unlimited overdraw facility to the account she opened in 2012.

Ms Lee is alleged to have splashed out on luxury clothes and handbags but a large chunk of the other missing $3.3 million could have been moved overseas or already spent, The Daily Telegraph reports.

Ms Lee, who has been living in Australia on a student visa, was due to walk free from police custody yesterday after being granted $1000 bail but the Daily Mail reports she was taken into custody by immigration officials.

Officials have the power to cancel visas in situations of moral ambiguity.

When banks make an error in their favor, such as overcharging fees or misplacing your money, you have to beg the bank to correct their mistake. When they make an error in your favor, they can call in the police to arrest you.
During my university days, a teacher said banks are the person who lend umbrella in sunny day and collect it back in raining day.

This is interesting to say the least. IF the CIA station chief was supposedly poisoned by Pakistan ISI agent than how did he contract the poison in the first place or by what method? We all know the Russian had poisoned rival members before through tiny micro doses of uranium either injection or eating/drinking (think back On 23 November 2006,Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Litvinenko, a retired member of the Russian security services (FSB), died from radiation poisoning in London, UK, becoming the first known victim of lethal Polonium 210-induced acute radiation syndrome).

Current and former US officials believe that CIA station chief, Mark Kelton, may have been poisoned by the Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) after the 2011 raid that killed Osama Bin Laden, the Washington Post reports.

Following the US military raid on a Pakistani compound, a raid that local officials neither knew of nor signed off on, now-retired Pakistan station chief, Mark Kelton became seriously ill. Within two months and after several unsuccessful treatment-seeking trips outside of Pakistan, Kelton’s illness had become so severe that he was pulled from the country.

Following retirement and surgery, Mr. Kelton recovered. But some CIA officials continue to believe his sudden and still-unexplained illness may have been the result of an ISI-orchestrated poisoning,

.

While US officials acknowledged that the alleged poisoning was never proven, other intelligence representatives confirmed that connections have been found between the ISI and multiple plots against individuals considered opponents to the Pakistani agency; including journalists and diplomats.

Officials also acknowledge that the ISI harbored strong animosity towards Kelton. The ISI chief at the time, Ahmed Shuja Pasha, consistently refused to speak with the CIA station chief and routinely referred to him as “the cadaver” as opposed to his actual name, the Post reported.

While Pakistan has officially been considered an ally in US operations in the Middle East, US officials have emphasized that for years leading to Kelton’s tenure in Islamabad, diplomatic relations had been deteriorating with connections found between the ISI and terrorist attacks, disguised executions, and the tipping off of individuals targeted in US drone strikes.

descended upon the highly-fortified compound in Abbottabad Pakistan, local officials had not been notified. By the time the Pakistani air force had scrambled jets to respond to the situation, the SEALs had found and executed Bin Laden, combed the site for intelligence material and DNA samples, and had exited, safely crossing the border back into Afghanistan.

In Pakistan, as the midnight raid approached, military and CIA officials — including Kelton — gathered in a secure room within the US embassy to follow transmissions from a stealth drone over the compound under assault.

Within two months of the covert operation, Kelton had been removed from Pakistan under questionable circumstances.

The alleged poisoning of a station chief is by no means an isolated incident between the ISI and the CIA.

published in April appear to imply that ISI personnel paid a designated terrorist organization $200,000 for the execution of one of the deadliest attacks against the CIA in agency history — the 2009 suicide bombing at Camp Chapman in Khost, Afghanistan. Nine died, including seven Americans.

A document from January 2010 showed that the head of the Haqqani network – a group allied with the Taliban – had met with ISI officials twice prior to the bombing and the network leader and another individual were paid $200,000.

Though a US intelligence official claims the information is not consistent with other knowledge of the attack at Camp Chapman, Pakistan’s embassy in Washington had no immediate comment on the released cables,

Similarly, regarding the poisoning allegations brought up through the new report, the Pakistani Embassy Spokesman Nadeem Hotiana stated, “Obviously the story is fictional, not worthy of comment. We reject the insinuations implied in the allegations.”

How can you not be able to prove a poisoning? All it takes is some blood tests. Or do the Pakistani have some super poison that not even the most advanced American medical science can detect? Why not just come out and say what the guy's illness was? Or what that just have ruined the story?

It says he recovered so his metabolism should have either disposed it from his body or processed it, making it untraceable by the point he he was transferred and admitted to a western hospital.
