PLA reorganisation ... from 7 military regions to 4 strategic regions

Curious this Northern Theater Command cut in two !

The North Command's primary purpose is to respond to crises in the Korean Peninsula. Shandong province, being so close to the Korean Peninsula, will obviously be mobilised in the event of a Korean crisis, hence its incorporation into the North Command.

Guys, I need Your help ...

, the Yunnan Province is assigned to the Southern Theatre Command and as such I assume that the map posted above is correct (or at least more correct) than the one posted by Jamestown ...

But what about Guizhou (also Southern) and Hubei (now Central ?) provinces ?

Following my limited skills of drawing ... it would look like this:

China - 5 Strategic Zones 2016 - finished 26.2.16 version 2.png

Any corrections, mistakes included ... or any other suggestions ?

The linked page/article does not have any information on the commands. But your map correctly reflects what you stated: Yunnan and Guizhou in Southern, Hubei in Central.

Really ??? As far as I understand the text, it mentions the "南部战区某旅创新方式提高政治教育实效" (IMO Southern Thaetre Command units or so ...) and if I'm not mistaken, the 14. GA is based within the former Chengdu MR in Yunnan. Or am I wrong ??

Here the part under the image says:

近日,记者在第14集团军某旅训练场看到,见缝插针的微教育通俗易懂,既不耽误训练,又能激励士气,官兵学习热情持续升温。

and isn't this translated:

In recent days, reporters at the training ground to see the 14th Group Army Brigade, fit the micro education easy, neither delay training and motivation and enthusiasm of officers and soldiers continued to heat up.
