I guess baseball bats aren't sold in sporting goods shops then?... maybe in martial arts outlets along with nunchucks, shinai and bokkens

If I'm understanding the article correctly, they are selling baseball bats at car dealerships. Buying a new car? Don't forget the baseball bat protection plan. Getting an oil change? Don't forget the baseball bat protection plan. I'm still amazed by the 500,000 to 1 bats to baseball sales ratio last year.

More likely to be a failed suicide bombing attempt.
Yeah, even a grenade would've make a bigger mess than that. My take is that only part of the explosives detonated that just enough to blew out that hole. Fortunately, the structural design of the A321 held together as well as flight controls, as the jet just took off, there were plenty of fuel to make things far worse.

Spontaneous human combustion? Either way, the poor guy.:( I'm surprised the plane lost of cabin pressure didn't cause it to crash and cause further mayhem.

There has been quite a few aircraft that have continued to fly despite gapping big holes in them caused by explosive decompression

IMHO, I think it is pretty obvious that it was a small bomb. Mogadishu is not exactly the most secure place.

I am willing to bet a terrorist who wanted to bring the plane down.

We will wait to see what the investigation says.

They may be able to make a fairly quick initial determination...but they may have difficulty getting the really strong specialists to agree to go there to investigate. Dangerous place.

Best fix for this kind of crap? Don't use an iPhone! Hell, the iPhone is already a major PITA whenever I need to transfer some pictures onto my computer.

The only iOS device I still like is the iPad Mini.

This move have serious anti-trust implications. It's also incredibly stupid and short-sighted, as it will massively alienate the Chinese market, where almost all repairs are done by 3rd party (although most may be skilled enough to get around this problem).
