The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) – led by Jaysh Al-Thuwar – have struck again in northern Aleppo; this time, they have captured the village of Al-Faysal after an intense battle with the Free Syrian Army (FSA), the Syrian Al-Qaeda group “Jabhat Al-Nusra”, and Harakat Ahrar Al-Sham.

Following the loss of both Al-Faysal and Al-Malkiyah on Friday, the Free Syrian Army’s leadership issued a statement that condemned the Syrian Defense Forces for cooperating with the Russians.

The Islamist rebels blamed the Russian Air Force for their losses on Friday, claiming the latter’s airstrikes over ‘Azaz greatly damaged defenses and helped propel the Syrian Democratic Forces to impose full control over Al-Malkiyah and Al-Faysal.

In addition to their airstrikes over the Turkish border city of ‘Azaz in northern Aleppo, the Russian Air Force also launched a series of airstrikes over the Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham (ISIS) held border-city of Jarabulus; these air raids helped the predominately Kurdish “People’s Protection Units” (YPG) advance along the outskirts of this city that overlooks the vast Euphrates River.

Jarabulus is strategically located on the southern bank of the Euphrates River that separates Turkey and Syria; it is also ISIS’ last border-crossing into Turkey and if captured, this will leave the terrorist group without a primary supply route to their stronghold of Al-Raqqa.

An increasing number of Iranian soldiers and militiamen appear to be dying in Syria's civil war, and observers credit media from an unexpected country for revealing the trend: Iran.

A flurry of reports in Iran's official and semi-official news outlets about the deaths — including funerals and even a eulogy to a fallen general by Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei — have surprised analysts who monitor the country's tightly controlled media. The reports, they say, indicate that at least 67 Iranians have been killed in Syria since the beginning of October.........."

Oil produced from fields under the control of the Islamic State group is at the heart of a new investigation by al-Araby al-Jadeed. The black gold is extracted, transported and sold, providing the armed group with a vital financial lifeline.

But who buys it? Who finances the murderous brutality that has taken over swathes of Iraq and Syria? How does it get from the ground to the petrol tank, and who profits along the way?

Turkish journalists charged over claim that secret services armed Syrian rebels
Two editors from the opposition Cumhuriyet newspaper face lengthy jail sentences for alleging that Ankara’s intelligence agency was supplying weapons

"According to Cumhuriyet, Turkish security forces in January 2014 intercepted a convoy of trucks near the Syrian border and discovered boxes of what the daily described as weapons and ammunition to be sent to rebels fighting against Syrian president Bashar al-Assad.

It linked the seized trucks to the Turkish national intelligence organisation (MIT).

The revelations, published in May, caused a political storm in Turkey, and enraged president Recep Tayyip Erdogan who vowed Dundar would pay a

has vehemently denied aiding Islamist rebels in Syria, such as the Islamic State group, although it wants to see Assad toppled.

“Don’t worry, this ruling is nothing but a badge of honour to us,” Dundar told reporters and civil society representatives at the court before he was taken into custody."

Allegation ? No fact, check channel 4 ISIS documentry

I'm just looking for a logical explanation as to how you think that claim would actually play out on the ground, ideally backed up by some supporting evidence (i.e. more than a quote from a media organization associated with Government(s) known to have an Anti-Assad agenda).
...?
