Have you seen the turkish humanitarian aid convoy that was obliterated by russian airstrikes?

Tell me what is wrong with that picture, because someone must have either followed my recommendation to actually build something of indestructable material like Passports for the food cardboard boxes. They were probably faked afterwards by placing food cardboard boxes in totally burned trucks while the cardbord boxes are not even wet from the firefighters who put out the fire, no burning marks, no stains of any liquid or any damage at all, they are even piled up while the russians were bombing them with 250kg bombs.

wOw!!!
It's gettin' deep, y'all. As I said, the Armenian Genocide was just the beginning. Now, Russians are emphasizing another historical action against Christianity committed by the Turks. The Russians are invoking really powerful cultural historical grievances. They are not playing! Get this headline!

Sergey Gavrilov, MP for the Communist Party of the Russian Federation announced in the Duma that:

“We expect from the Turkish side a friendly step – to return the Hagia Sophia Cathedral to the Christian church. The Russian side is ready to participate materially, and also to engage the best Russian restorers and scientists to the restoration of the ecumenical Christian monument. This step would help Turkey and Islam to demonstrate that the good will is above politics.”

It remains to be seen how the rest of the Duma or the Turkish political apparatus will respond to this.

Hagia Sofia was built in the sixth century during the Byzantine Empire era. It served as a cathedral for 916 years until the Ottoman invasion and Sultan Mehmet converted it into a mosque. Since 1935, it has served as a museum.

The idea for the re-conversion of Hagia Sofia into a mosque has been growing momentum with several prominent Turkish Islamic leaders calling for this.

It may be cynical; it may be disingenuous; but casting the Turkey vs Russia conflict in terms of Islam vs Christianity should be a very effective, albeit dangerous (for Turkey), strategy.

The Islamist rebels from the Free Syrian Army (FSA), Harakat Ahrar Al-Sham, and the Syrian Al-Qaeda group “Jabhat Al-Nusra” have benefitted immensely from their truce with the predominately Kurdish “People’s Protection Units” (YPG) northern Aleppo; however, this changed on Thursday when the aforementioned Islamist groups kidnapped members of Jaysh Al-Thuwar near the border-city of ‘Azaz.

On Thursday afternoon, the YPG and Jaysh Al-Thuwar struck the Turkish backed rebels in northern Aleppo, targeting the Jabhat Al-Nusra and Harakat Ahrar Al-Sham controlled villages of Kashta’ar, Al-Ziyara, and Mulkiyah near the city of ‘Azaz; this has further aggravated the aggressive Turkish government , who has specifically targeted the Kurdish resistance fighters for several months all over northern Syria.

The YPG and Jaysh Al-Thuwwar have been repeatedly targeted by the Turkish Air Force in several Syrian provinces, despite their commitment to combatting the Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham (ISIS) in the Al-Raqqa and Al-Hasakah Governorate.

Several social media activists from the Syrian Opposition have reported that the Russian Air Force has struck the Islamist rebel groups at the border-city of ‘Azaz; this was confirmed by a military source from the Syrian Air Defense in the coastal city of Jableh (Latakia Governorate).

Previously, tensions between the Kurdish resistance fighters and the Islamist rebels were only reported in the Sheikh Maqsoud District of Aleppo City; this recent confrontation marks the first time that both sides have fought one another in northern Aleppo.

The Free Syrian Army (FSA) has issued a statement on Thursday morning that demanded the predominately Kurdish “People’s Protection Units” (YPG) withdraw from 7 villages in northern Aleppo after recent tensions following the abduction of several members of the YPG and their allies from Jaysh Al-Thuwar in the Aleppo Governorate’s northern countryside.

According to the statement released by the Free Syrian Army’s Central Command in the Aleppo Governorate, the YPG has 48 hours to withdraw from the following villages: Maryamin, Anab, Shawaghra, Tanib, Kashta’ar, Mirash, and Qanbriyah.

If the People’s Protection Units and Jaysh Al-Thuwar do not withdraw from these 7 villages, the Free Syrian Army and their allies from Harakat Ahrar Al-Sham and the Syrian Al-Qaeda group “Jabhat Al-Nusra” will take matters into their own hands and confront the Kurdish resistance forces.

Two hours ago, the YPG and Jaysh Al-Thuwar launched an assault on the Islamist rebel defenses near the strategic border-city of ‘Azaz after the Russian Air Force’s SU-24 fighter jets carried out almost 40 airstrikes along the Turkish border.

The last 72 hours have been very tense in northern Syria after the Turkish Air Defense downed a Russian fighter jet that was flying through Syrian airspace; this has prompted the Russians to intensify their airstrikes on the border of Turkey.
Without stating it explicitly, these articles illustrate that this conflict may be coming to a critical juncture.

Turkey's proxy forces are now confronting Turkey's primary adversaries in Syria, the Kurds. The RuAf, which, up 'til now, has not been active in supporting the Kurds, has begun to do so. They are doing so in an area in which the Turkish Air Force, up 'til now, has willfully violated Syrian airspace, launching offensive air-strikes, in pursuit of their politico/military objectives, and doing so with impunity.

As I see it, Turkey no longer has that option, and must now concede to the defeat of their long-term objectives in Syria. To attempt offensive air-strikes, in Syria, in an area that is now controlled by the RuAf, I believe would be to invite disaster. What will the Turks do? The fact that they have directed their proxies to initiate this new action, to me, does not bode well.

The YPG, for those that haven't followed very closely, is the one Kurdish group that is not considered a terrorist organization by the US, and is the main Kurdish group, that with western/US help, has had great success against ISIL.

In an interview with CNN, Erdogan warned Moscow that Turkey would take steps if its warplane was downed by the Russian S-400 missile system in case of violation of the Syrian airspace

MOSCW, November 27. /TASS/. Turkey’s authorities have given interviews with western TV channels in an attempt to justify the destruction of the Russian warplane in the Syrian airspace earlier this week.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu expressed regrets about the incident with downing the Russian Su-24 jet but their statements also contained threats.

In an interview with France 24 TV channel on Thursday, Erdogan said Turkey "does not want tensions with Russia." "Had we known it was a Russian plane we may have acted differently," he said.

The Turkish president said he did not consider the incident as the source of tension and called for continuing cooperation with Russia.

In an interview with CNN, Erdogan warned Moscow that Turkey would take steps if its warplane was downed by the Russian S-400 missile system in case of violation of the Syrian airspace.

On Tuesday, a Turkish F-16 fighter jet brought down a Russian Sukhoi Su-24M bomber, which, Ankara alleges, violated the country’s airspace near the Syrian border. The Russian Defense Ministry said the warplane was flying over Syrian territory and had never violated Turkey’s airspace.

Russian President Vladimir Putin warned that the attack on the Russian bomber would have "serious consequences" for Russian-Turkish relations. Action by the Turkish air force against the military jet, taking part in anti-terrorist operations in Syria and posing no threat to Turkey, was "a stab in Russia’s back", Putin said.

I shoot down your plane for airspace violation, I do not consider that to be reason enough for tensions. But if you shoot down my plane for airspace violations, there will be consequences! You hear? Consequences!!!!

To be frank, if Turkey is moronic enough to send anything into Syria airspace now, after this, they deserve to have it shot down to teach them some common sense.

The more we learn, the worse it looks for Turkey.

Putin has gone on record to state that Russia gave the US-led coalition the flight plans of the downed Su24 in advanced.

That means that the Turks would not only have known that those were Russian Su24s, but had prior knowledge of their planned route, which likely make their ambush easier.

This pretty much strips away the last pathetic shreds of excuses and cover the Turks had left and leave little room to doubt that this was a premeditated and deliberate ambush.
