Guys ... like already explained don't mess this chart up too much.

We all know from several sources and also other placards that the WS-10A as used in the J-11B/BS-series has a thrust of 132.x kN ... as such abit more than a standard AL-31F usually rated att 123,x kN.

The AL-31FN used in the J-10A/AS has a slightly higher thrust of 127 kN and the latest uprated AL-31FN Series 3 used by the J-10B has 137 kN.

Therfore this chart only says the WS-10-family can deliver thrust within a range between 120-140 kN ... nothing more.

Are you assuming that because you're taking the 12000kgf as the thrust for WS-10A?
I'm not sure what the context of the placard is, but they could be talking about the present "family" of WS-10s... possibly where the most powerful has thrust of 14000kgf while the least powerful is 12000kgf.
WS-10A could sit anywhere between those two, and a number for its top thrust has been suggested at 13200kgf.
12000kgf could refer to the initial WS-10 that was not used on any platform.
I was just wondering about previous reports saying that WS-10As have less thrust than AL-31As.

I'm not sure what reports those could have been, because since as long as I could remember the consensus was that WS-10As wet thrust was 13.2 tons.

the word on chinese forums is that the production version of FWS-10 turned out to be closer to AL-31F thrust of 125 kn. And it had a lot of problems starting off. Since then, I think the reliability issues are getting resolved with more usage (as is the case with most engine after some usage). The 140 kn thrust version of Taihang has been in development for many years.

Honestly, it was already posted on 3. July 2013 !

As such this is a J-10B, an AL-31FN (maybe already series 3) and not yet a radar installed.

Thanks so much.
I am sorry for the repost.

This had happened so many times.
Honestly, what have always amazed me is ... ...
Deino, how do you recall the date too ( 3 JUL 2013 ) ?

Never mind ... regarding the image, I always add the date I find an image and if possible when it was taken together before I save it.

Here in this case I sadly do not know, when the image was taken, but it was posted on that date.
