As something that's external and because it doesn't really get in the way of the other parts of the aircraft, the DSI bump is likely one of the easiest part of the aircraft to modify. We may as well see further changes to the DSI bump as the test goes further along.

DANG! Another false alarm?

Somehow, I do not think so. This has the "feel" of being right.

I believe the blurry photos above may well be a true, albeit unclear, depiction of 2016's roll out.

We will just have to wait and see...as per normal. And, of course, I could also be letting my desire and anticipation get the better of me. LOL!

The engines look like a dull charcoal. The standard ALs seen on Chinese fighters still have a metallic sheen to it. Need to see better resolution.

Another theory about the DSI-bump being modified was due to the use of new engines on 2016. The chance is not very high but no impossible with all the good news of WS-15 lately.

But we can't be sure either way with the low resolution pics right now. I'm pretty sure they will have high resolution pictures of 2016 coming out soon just like other J-20s in the past. And there seem to be added black strips on the side weapon bay doors.
