J-15 carrier-borne fighter thread

These new Flanker variants go into production fast. Both the J-16 and the J-15S has only been test flying for little over 2 years before going into production. The J-16 was first photographed in june of 2012 and the J-15S first flew in november of 2012. And now in 2015 they are already in production. That tells me that the changes of these planes from the basic J-11BS isn't that big. Especially when compared to the J-10's evolution. The J-10B has been test flying for about 5 years before it went into production. But then again the J-10B is a new airframe while the J-16 and the J-15S has some changes to the airframe but its mainly the new systems they are testing.

Saw an article regarding J-15 pilots posted by CD member 注册个号来提问.

Apparently the 6 J-15 pilots attending the Victory parade is the 4th group of J-15 pilots who will be reporting to the Liaoning afterward for more takeoff and landing training. (other than the lead plane pilot. Two backup pilots +4 other pilots)

Before that they've been training at a navy carrier base for the last 3 years. Once this new group of pilots pass the training at the Liaoning carrier, they will be the 4th group of pilots receiving carrier-based fighter pilot certification.

Prerequisites for basic carrier-based fighter pilot training:
1. Under the age 35.
2. Have flown 5 different types of planes.
3. Flight hours 1000+.
4. Flight hours for 3rd generation fighter jet 500+.
5. Have participated in joint training and joint major exercises and tasks.
