Please excuse my ignorance, but I thought Venezuela is in terrible shape right now, why are Colombians still going there?

Venezuelan government operate a chain of stores that provide goods at highly subsidized rate to poor people. But due to corruption, a lot of those goods are diverted, smuggled and resold in foreign countries like Columbia. The smuggling is on such scale that it lead to shortage of things like toilet paper in Venezuela itself which we hear about. Now they are trying to crackdown on the smugglers.

Thank you, you lovely Japanese people for standing up to those war hawks in your government cabinets.:);) Win or lose at least you show solidarity and hope against those who is trying to play into the fears and ignorance of the people perpetuated by the elite few among your rulers.

"No to war legislation!" ''Scrap the bills now!" and "Abe, quit!" they chanted in one of the summer's biggest protests. Their cries are against a series of bills that would expand Japan's military role under a reinterpretation of the country's war-renouncing constitution.

In Japan, where people generally don't express political views in public, such rallies have largely diminished since the often violent university student protests in the early 1960s. Anti-nuclear protests after the 2011 Fukushima disaster also petered out.

that took place in Lijin, Dongying City, in Shandong province, but a video posted online by an onlooker that appeared to show the explosion was later removed from social media.

It was not yet known whether anyone was killed or injured. The reasons for the blast were not known either.

Video showed a massive fireball light up the night sky shortly after 11pm local time on Monday.

It comes just two weeks after a huge warehouse explosion in the Chinese port of Tianjin. On Monday, authorities said the death toll from that blast had risen to 158, with 15 people still missing.

Among the dead there were 94 firefighters, 11 policemen and 53 civilians.
