Aerospace Industry in Latin America

Anyhow...my point is simple. If DroneTech is indeed a US Company, then the design they sell is going to be considered a US design.

If, OTHOH, you can show that the company itself originated in Mexico and has its headquarters there...then it is indeed a Latin American company.

This is not a dis on the design...it looks interesting. Simply wanting to keep the Latin American Aerospace Thread focused on Latin America.
I have proved it to you is a Mexican company, simply you do not want to believe it

I know you do not Speak Spanish and i did translate which is the text written by Escarpita him self:

Ok everyone. I called the number on the dronetech web page. The marketing person I spoke to said definitively that the company is based and headquartered in San Antonio Texas and that the facility in Mexico is a branch office. He also mentioned that they test (and modify)100% of the UVAs in Mexico since there a minimal drone laws restricting flights and that they can better test their equipment in all flight conditions and altitudes not permitted in the United States.

Hope that this clarifies this debate. Now I have to explain to my wife who I was calling in San Antonio when she gets the bill.

If you read this page of this Mexican magazine page 13, Jeff head, which is in Spanish from a Mexican Magazine it says the Aerovantech Albatross AV-1, is a Mexican design but is commercialized by Dronetech, this is an interview to Jaime G. Sada Salinas, CEO of Dronetech

That information is corerect but the CEO of Dronetech is Jaime G. Sada Salinas, and the UAV is the aerovantech beta-1

Since i know you are fluent in Spanish, you can read this magazine, which clearly clarifies the designs are Mexicans and the CEO of Aerovantech is Mexican and it is an interview of Jaime G. Sada Salinas

No, you have not proven any such thing, b787.

All you have proven, which I agree with, is that the individual who initiated the design for this demonstrator is Mexican. And that is fine.

But the company, DroneTEch UAV, is a definitely a US Company. I also called DroneTech UAV and actually had a good discussion with a lead engineer at the Paris Air Show (they called his cell number).

As I said, aircraft companies the world over have various engineers and designers working for them...some of them in very important positions...from all sorts of countries.

So, as you say, the individual who did the initial design work and produced the initial demonstrator is Mexican with Mexican engineering degrees. That's fine.

But the company that is actually going to manufacture the aircraft, market it, and is looking for partners to help them do that is an American Company.

They made that very clear to me. Started in the United States in San Antonio in 2013. and later opened a branch office in Mexico.

They are now testing a prototype in Mexico because Mexico has much more lax UAV laws.

But taking any aircraft from a demonstrator phase to an actual production phase is a lot of work, and it necessitates change. The company that is hoping to do that is a US Company...DroneTech UAV.

The aircraft, if ever produced, will be considered a US aircraft.

It certainly has its roots in a Mexican Engineer who designed the demonstrator...but that does not change the fact that DroneTech is a US company. And this is the company that will build and market the aircraft should it get orders.

We can recognize and congratulate any Latin American engineer who starts something good with a demonstrator prototype, while also recognizing that a non-Latin American company is actually bringing it forward into a production aircraft.

As it is, this theread is meant to be a Latin American Aerospace thread. If we expand it to include any Latin American engineer who works at companies outside of Latin America, it will change and distort the very nature of the thread.

That is all.

So, we will keep this discussion in the thread...which makes clear both sides, that a Latin American engineer initiated the design, but that an American Company is going to bring that design forward into any production.

And which also makes clear that this thread should be about Latin American Aerospace.

In the future let's not cross over. Let's keep the Latin American Aerospace Thread focused on Latin American Aerospace Companies.

DO NOT RESPOND TO THE MODERATION

The Ministry of Communications and Transport (SCT) said that Mexico's Aviation Industry has grown during the last two years at a rate of 9% approximately, above world’s average. Yuriria Mascott Perez, SCT´s undersecretary of Transport, said that the Aviation Industry has had a substantial growth, with an increased connectivity and a higher level in passengers and crew´s security. The participation and support of this sector are key factors for the consolidation of the governmental aviation policy, which aims to ensure a maximum safety in air services and promote the regional development by strengthening the connectivity in the national airports network.
