Hmmm...the Germans are getting aggressive in marketing their new F125 design. I wonder, could the following 14 pages from:

Hmmm? That's a heck of a German sales/marketing pitch. if the Australians can afford it. It would allow for the tech transfer and the building in Australia.

That's really interesting, thanks for posting it. It also shows how much potential is in the design for weapons beyond the gun and 8 SSMs. I wonder if the capacity to carry up to 70 additional personnal is bought by forgoing those VLSs, or if the room is there anyway.

I realize the new Oto is a great naval gun with AD capability. However, sporting some ESSM / and or an additional Goalkeeper / Skyguard type CIWS, could have allowed putting a (slower traversing and firing) 155mm gun on it. (As in the MONARC project) Together with a GMLRS launcher that would have been an awesome COIN / patrol / fire support vessel.

On a different note. That already mentioned MKS 180 program, in my understanding, is ment to produce a 5.000t vessel with a core crew of around 100 and 70-80 additional mission specific personal.

It's supposed to be very similar to the F-125 in concept and tasks. But it is also supposed to come in at 55% (I think) the F-125's price. As such is ment to be a "design to budget" solution. I already start to feel the discomfort with that.

I also wonder were they are going to save the round about € 300m. It can't be 2.000t of steel? The gun will be there, foregoing one of only two RAM systems seems a bit brave on such a vessel. Only four instead of eight SSMs? The already not really sophisticated radar? There's no proper sonar, either.

Poland 'Dreams' of Montenegro Joining NATO at 2016 Warsaw Summit
Poland plans to encourage other NATO countries to support Montenegro's membership bid, Foreign Minister Grzegorz Schetyna said. According to him, Montenegro’s admission to NATO would help stabilize the situation in the Western Balkan region.

Montenegro should become part of NATO at the next summit of the alliance, Polish Foreign Minister Grzegorz Schetyna said during his visit to Pristina, the capital of Montenegro.

Schetyna arrived in Pristina for talks on Montenegro’s admission to NATO.

"Our dream is that Montenegro would be the 29th full-fledged NATO member at the Warsaw summit in July 2016," he was quoted as saying by Polish Press Agency.

The chances of Montenegro joining NATO during the Warsaw summit are high, he underscored.

According to the minister, Montenegro’s admission to NATO would help stabilize the situation in the Western Balkans and be a step towards the country’s future EU membership.

He added that Poland plans to encourage other NATO members to support Montenegro membership plans.

Earlier, NATO Chief Jens Stoltenberg said the decision on Montenegro’s membership bid would be made during a foreign ministerial meeting scheduled in December.
