The black "thing" attached to the pylon is the same ones as on J-10Y, may be a color smoke dispenser. Pre-delivery J-10A/B/S would normally carry a pair of red color dumb air-air missiles.

So 311 is probably a pre-delivery J-10SY.

I think this photo is from Shaheen-III, which happened last year or the year before.

Not sure whether this particular photo is a repost though.

He looks to be of South Asian descent. Must be a Pakistani Air Force pilot.

You can even see the Chinese-Pakistani patch on his right arm.

Pakistani pilots have good hairs.

If there's something up with the new J-10Bs, I think they are likely undergoing classified testing/combat readiness training rather than participating in the parade.
