Women's Soccer, like Women's Basketball, is just not driving the markets like the Men's sports. As a result, the advertising is not nearly as high, and those advertising contracts drive the rest in the end.

But then, they have not been going as long as the men's sports either. As time goes on, they will get there.

Meanwhile, I bet you the really good players are making a ton of denero in endorsement income. I have to believe that Lloyd will have some amazing endorsement contracts.

I agreed, but than again it's not fair for the other players (non stars) who didn't get to cash in during the moment. Meanwhile the sports organization and committee gets to keep the majority of the dough.

True.

But in order to administrate such a team and all of the games, match-ups, travel, lodging,TV, radio, advertising...you need a large front office and those people do not work for free.

If the admin types and managers are making fat salaries...then the players (who probably have a union) should make some noise and try to get more equity.

I just do not know what those relative numbers are...though I have to believe if there was extreme inequity in that regard, the players would be making noise, threatening to strike, etc.

But, as I say...I just do not know.

You are right my friend, I just hope they get well compensated for their achievement. We just have to wait for more info.

I think it's officially called Beijing/Zhangiakou games. Press are using the word Beijing because it's more familiar for the readers than say Zhangiakou (geographically speaking of course).
