Oops...my bad. "A while" is an under statement! LOL!

I just saw the number of posts and made a presumption. But then again, any posts you may have made on the older forum were lost (in terms of their count) when Webby moved us here.

Yes...we know that 3320, 3321, and 3322 have been actually oUt testing and exercising.

We also saw the other two in the shiPyard some time ago.

I have yet to seen them with their pennant numbers operating.

With the fourth Type 071 LPD well along in fitting out, I would have expected to see more by now. I would think that they would want at least two available for each...and at some point, four. That would make 16 of them.

To date we have seen three at sea and two more at they yard. Five all told.

Yes that's very true and gets me every time ! There's same number of LCAC as there is LPD???

But to be honest it's PLAN it's a slow and steady development in short increments that we sometime miss

If you check out the recent operations by Type 071 LPD they have finally worked with more than 1 x LCAC and using 2 x LCAC and we have seen them actually carrying equipment

Back when the first LCAC came out 2009 or 2010 during the first anti piracy missions it was very early on we seen a shot of it carrying a tank and since then we seen them running empty

So it could be they have done more LCAC operations and testing it's just that we haven't seen them maybe recently they could have done full load testing with 4 x LCAC who knows

But I agree I expect a lot more than just 5 units after all 16 would be the minimum for 4 x LPD

Let's hope we start to see more serious LPD operations with LCAC

So...how many PLAN LCACs are we up to now, Asif? Six or seven?

I still only know of 3 in service and maybe one or 2 under construction.

3 in service two in process of commissioning I guess and 2 more at JNCX
