Okay, guys, I have a question for you Russian Flanker buffs..

What will be the standard Russian Air Force paint scheme for the SU-35S. I am building a 1/72 scale model of the SU-35S and want to make sure it is painted appropriately.

....

Will they use both? Which will be the standard?

As far as I know they use both as standard ... but what unit used which one I don't know !

I would be surprised if they replaced the Gregorovich with these much smaller vessels. They have no helo facilities at all, where the Gregorovich have both a pad and hanger.

...

I searched Russian Internet and now it seems to me that Project 22800 should look like this:

which shows a helicopter deck ... sorry for the mess I created, but that announcement

was unexpected indeed ... I'll try to follow this story

4-Patrol version

The gun armaments will be 57mm or 76mm

Project 22160. Looks like it has two slots under helicopters deck, each for one Klub container with 4 missiles.

That would make for 8 Klubs plus AA missiles and a main gun in the front and maybe torpedoes and pantsir or something similar, am I right?

If yes, then it would be well rounded ship in my book...

I'm no expert , but looks like they are abandoning prettier dark blue scheme for dull gray one

Well that is aircraft numbered 02. Does that mean that this 02 got repainted...or is it an entirely different squadron?

su-35-02.jpg

I have seen numerous aircraft after this that are in the dark blue scheme.

05, 06, 07, 08, etc.

Are they perhaps going to use both?
