World Maritime News said:
Royal Malaysian Navy has recovered the tanker Orkim Harmony after eight of the smugglers abandoned the vessel on a lifeboat at around 8 pm local time yesterday, Malaysia’s Chief of Navy Admiral Tan Sri Abdul Aziz Jaafar said.

All 22 crew are reported safe and unharmed except the cook, an Indonesian national, who suffered a gunshot injury to his thigh.

The tanker is being escorted by a RMN ship to Kuantan Port, and is expected to reach the port at around 2 am local time tomorrow.

RMN deployed three ships and two helicopters to search for the fleeing hijackers.

At 06:30 am local time today, the search crews tracked down eight Indonesian nationals on a life boat off the Tho Chu Island in Vietnam. The men are claiming to be fishermen and that their vessel had sunk.

to help the thirteen vessels already searching for the tanker.

MT Orkim Harmony went missing 17 nautical miles southwest of Pulau Aur on June 11. The tanker’s crew members include 16 Indonesians, Malaysians, and Myanmar nationals.

The principle Malaysian Navy vessel that helped in this recovery was the Royal Malaysian Navy Offshore Patrol Vessel, KD Terengganu (174).

The Vietnamese engaging in expansion? Naw!!!!!!

Article said:
Roughly 250 Cambodian activists, including Real Camerin, a member of the opposition Cambodian National Rescue Party (CNRP), illegally entered Vietnamese territory through a shared border on the eastern part of Cambodia, the

reported. “Vietnamese security officers and local residents tried to reason with the activists and stop them, but they were attacked,” Le Hai Binh, spokesman for the Vietnamese foreign ministry said in a statement on Wednesday. Seven Vietnamese and ten Cambodians were reportedly injured in the confrontation.
People cannot expect to illegal cross another nation's border and then openly conduct and take part in a demonstration against that country without facing consequences and the involvement of that country's security forces.

The fourth of the six Kilo-class submarines that Vietnam has contracted to buy from Russia arrived at Cam Ranh Port in the south-central province of Khanh Hoa on Tuesday morning.
The submarine codenamed HQ-185 Da Nang was transported by the Dutch-registered cargo ship Rolldock Storm.

The submarine was launched on March 28, 2014 at the Admiralty Shipyards in St. Petersburg, Russia, and then had a trial run on the Baltic Sea. On May 14 this year, it started the voyage to Vietnam.

The first three submarines, named after Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Hai Phong, arrived in Vietnam in 2014 and early 2015.

The fifth submarine codenamed HQ-186 Khanh Hoa underwent trial run on the Baltic Sea on June 8.

The delivery of the sixth and last one, HQ-187 Ba Ria-Vung Tau, is scheduled for next year.
Russia will also train Vietnamese crews, and supply necessary spare parts.

The six submarines are built under a US$2-billion deal signed during a Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung's visit to Russia in 2009.
