There are more than 90 million individual stock investors in China now, more than people in the CCP. Quite an achievement. But to put it in context, a Gallup poll showed in 2011, about 54% of Americans investment in stocks or mutual funds, so there's a lot of room to grow for Chinese investors.

All thanks to a pragmatic communist government that made it happen.

People forget Chinese are the original capitalists. That's why there's a huge underground economy in China that has not been accounted for in official figures and that's why Western figures say the average Chinese can't afford a car yet China is the largest car market in the world. That's why Chinese tourists spend more than any other group. That's why the military runs their own businesses to fund their own projects. That's why people from no where can become billionaires in China making so much money that they can't hide it to which is when they get noticed by the government to be then charged with tax evasion.

Gotta say, it looks a lot like the Siemens Velaro ICE 3

The CRH3 series is the Chinese version of the Siemens Velaro...

The new model of train, whatever its name is, looks quite different. But then again they're trains, and high speed ones at that, so I wouldn't be surprised if differing models even from different manufacturers reach the same kind of end result.
Though I do think the two new models are the best looking designs I've seen.
