Yeah... I was just trying to find some excuse for the poor thing... I don't know which is worse: all the horns waiting for him down low, or his title as the King of the jungle being tarnished... As a tiger myself (my zodiac sign), I would like to think of all cats as ferocious kings. I WILL forget about the above image... I WILL try to forget about this image...

He might actually have a chance to get away. He's not completely surrounded. He could jump down and run really fast from the opposite direction from them. They don't have the stamina or speed to keep up with the lion anyway. :)

But the fact that he ran up a tree does not sit well with me... He's supposed to be the king of the jungle... The only way that he can redeem himself would be to jump down from that tree and eat ALL the buffaloes down there. But he'll probably need a lot of help from his ladies (as the lioness are the actual hunters)... So no matter what, he's a wuss...

Two Atlantic Puffins (Fratercula Arctica) squabble on Skomer Island, Pembrokeshire, Wales. This pair of puffins appear far from peaceful as they are caught squabbling. Home to one of the most important puffin colonies in the country, Skomer Island is a birdwatchers dream. The two mile by 1.5 mile island lies just of the Pembrokeshire coast. It boasts sheltered bays, exposed headlands, towering offshore rocks and shaded inlets - perfect for the birds that flock their in huge numbers each year.
