I knew those Extra guns on the Fan CG'sand model were bogus, and the Turret was to big. I feel confident in saying I told you so on those.

Note the Western Style Faceting of the Hull and Armor compared to the rounding and steep angles of Traditional Russian tanks.also the mix of Slat armor and ERA.
also note the rear man's hatch behind the driver spot It looks like the Gunner's hatch cant clear the Turret in the forward position I guess he would have to turn the Turret to the side to exit through that.
And the Commanders MG does not look like It clears the Commanders Sight although It might if the MG turret could rise. it looks like the MG is slaved to the Commanders sight so they traverse together.
I am guessing that slit is the Coax looks likely to be a continuation of the Same Mg configuration with a 12.7x108mm MG in the remote weapons station and a PK series MG in the Coax.
Looks like they kept the extra fuel tank system on the back of the tank and possibly previsions for a log.
I wonder what the commanders station looks like? Does he have multiple screens or a single display?

Those guns in the CGI are based on the models and right now we only have seen MBT version, not the BMPT version which is the actual turret with side arms. We already were confirmed by a russian General that it will have a 57mm GL and 2A42. Those tanks are more or less mockups, they are not finished.

Very curious why they would put a viewer right in the middle of the frontal turret armor, seems like a major flaw in protection.

they just put more armor behind the sight equal to the depth of the sight. the idea is to protect the gunner's sight with the heaviest armor, unlike say on top of the turret. same as original Leo 2 design.

Two People’s Liberation Army Navy (PLAN) guided missile frigates and a fleet oiler entered the Black Sea on Monday in a first for the PLAN, according to photos of the ships crossing the Bosporus Strait obtained by USNI News.

The trio is bound for the Russian naval base at Novorossiysk ahead of a planned visit from Chinese president Xi Jinping to Moscow to commemorate the end of World War II in Europe ,

.

The ships will arrive at Novorossiysk by May 9, according to press reports.

Last week, Chinese officials said the pair of 4,000-ton Type 54A Jiangkai II frigates — Linyi (574) and Weifang (547) — would drill with Russian ships in a first ever bilateral exercise in the Mediterranean in May as part of a exercise schedule agreed to last year.

The frigates, assigned to the PLAN’s North Fleet, and the oiler were previously part of the international anti-piracy patrols off of the Gulf Aden.

While the exercise — Joint Sea 2015 — is part of growing military-to-military and political cooperation between Moscow and Beijing, they could also point to more arms sales between the two countries — specifically the frigates.

, characterized the the flotilla visit as an opportunity for China to show off its ships and spin it into a potential ship deal for Russia to purchase some number of Jiangkai II frigates, based off an analysis of Russian defense watcher Alexander Mozgovoy.

Mozgovoy argued that the Russians could purchase the Jiangkai II frigates to shore up obvious gaps in its aging surface fleet while Russians wait on their 4,500-ton Sergei Gorshkov (Project 22350) class frigates to enter the fleet in numbers.

For the Chinese, a naval ship building contract with Russia would be a boon to its emerging arms export trade which sold three frigates to Algeria, a missile defense system to Turkey and unmanned aerial vehicle sales to Africa, according to a March report from the Swedish

think tank.

While Russian submarine construction is widely regarded among world’s best — second only to the U.S. — its surface construction capability has suffered since the end of the Cold War.

For example, it took shipbuilder Severnaya Verf in St. Petersburg seven years to for first-in-class Sergei Gorshkov — from keel laying to commissioning — to enter the Russian fleet after a spate of delays.

One naval expert contacted by USNI News indicated a purchase of Chinese surface ships by Russia would be a serious admission of its own manufacturing deficiencies.

“What this would say about the Russian shipbuilding industry would be a lot. Even smaller navies are able to build their own guided missile frigates,” Eric Wertheim — naval analyst and author of

— told USNI News on Monday.
“If this is true, it would be such a black eye for the Russian shipbuilding industry.”

This is the true reason for the visit IMHO.

This is, IMHO, so much Bravo Sierra.

Highly speculative and grasping at straws IMHO.

Not a chance the Russians, who are currently building two new classes of FFGs themselves of equal or better capability, would buy Type 054A/B.

Pictures: Russian Navy Black Sea Fleet Naval Aviation Regiment's New Sukhoi Su-30SM
xU8JSXU.jpg

Pictures of the latest Russian Naval Aviation fighter, the Su-30SM have emerged on Russian spotter forums. The most recent picture shows the fourth Su-30SM serial number "38" on order for the Russian Navy. The contract for the purchase of five Su-30SM for the Russian Navy was signed in December 2013. Three jets were delivered last year and the last two (including number "38") should be delivered this year. The aircraft are manufactured by Irkut Corporation (member of United Aircraft Corporation).

The first batch of five Su-30SM are intended for the Russian Navy Black Sea Fleet 43rd Independent Naval Shturmovik (Assault) Air Squadron in Crimea (currently operating Su-24M and Su-24MR).

In September 2014, the Russian Ministry of Defense ordered a second batch of Su-30SM from Irkut Corporation. The new contract worth about 13 billion rubles ($250 million) is for seven Su-30SM for the Russian Navy.

This T-14 get some look, well let's see all the new Russian combats vehicles family :

Interestingly, they classify T-14 as medium tank . And it is, compared to Western tanks . No armor specs, but most likely side armor would not be so thick, they probably want to protect flanks from usual infantry weapons and nothing else . On the other hand, roof seems to be much more protected then usual Soviet tanks (note thicker driver and commander hatch ) .
