To admit I know that in Asia the second name is actually equally to our first name, but I was surprised by the small letter "m" on the second or first name. Sorry and thanks a lot for Your explanation.

Like liaoning captain's Last name is Zhang (张) First name is Zheng(峥)

His Last name De (戴), First name is MingMeng (明盟).

So, if for western English writing you might say Mingmeng De. Meng is not his last name here. :)
戴 spels as Dai, not De. Sounds to me that the name should be Meng(孟) Deming(德明)。

I checked the original sina link. The family name is 戴 which spells as Dai, not De. The earlier quotation was wrong, should have been "Dai".

Yes, you are correct. The chinese word 戴 should be pronounced Dai. It should be Dai(戴) MingMeng(明盟). I used google translate on Deino's link and "De" was the result. :p

As for official designation, I didn't see any mention on the caption from the link. But there is a picture of the J-15 pilots holding their "Flying Shark" certificates.

I thought about it, but not wide enough for a carrier.

If something in a shipyard has a strange shape it might have to do with taking oil out of the bottom of the sea. Or it might be a semi-submersible to carry oil platforms and ships around the World. For those ships think of small warships, submarines, a damaged frigate like USS Stark ect.
