Photos taken on March 25, 2015 at the Luneng Brazil Sports Center in Porto Feliz, Brazil where Chinese youths are practicing football. As a milestone of China's Shandong Luneng Football Club's youth training project, Luneng Brazil Sports Center opend in mid-July of 2014. The 160,000-square-meter sports center, located about 100 kilometers outside Brazil's largest city Sao Paulo, has five standard pitches and two futsal fields. It can accommodate 190 people and includes player apartments, a restaurant, gym, physical therapy room, activity room, meeting room and swimming pool. As the Brazilian base, the Luneng Brazil Sports Center is not only for the youth of Luneng football club, but also for domestic and international club teams and national teams at all levels. The best players aged between 14 and 17 will be selected from Luneng Football School and come to Brazil to learn football techniques and participate in the Brazilian youth league. In order to be rooted in the atmosphere of Brazilian football, Luneng worked out a newly-designed training plan. Chinese players will join the Brazilian players of the same age to train and compete together. They live in the same dormitory, eat in the same canteen, help each others so that they can learn from each others. (Xinhua/Xu Zijian)

China has kicked off its bid to become a global footballing powerhouse, unveiling ambitious plans to build tens of thousands of pitches, a "tenacious" national team able to "win glories for the nation" and even to host a World Cup.

The road map, published by Beijing's cabinet-like State Council, offered a glimpse of the Communist Party's vision for a beautiful game with Chinese characteristics.

Fifty thousand Chinese schools will offer football training by 2025, up from 5,000 at the moment. Two major training centres will be built. And as coaches fight to transform China's perennially underperforming national team into a world-class side, the country will also bid to host a World Cup.

"We must develop and revitalize football to ensure we are a strong nation of sports," a statement from the special committee created to revamp Chinese football said last week ahead of the plan's launch.

These are very recent photos of school children all over China practicing soccer...association football or football..

Keep in mind this is Chinese side of the story. Western media generally reports from the other perspective.

Tibetan "Serfs Emancipation Day"
Uploaded in 19 January 2009

My notes:-
Three classes of serfs or slaves in Old Tibet:-
  • Tralpa, about 60 - 70% of serfs, till plots of land, provide unpaid labour.
  • Duiqoin, about 30 - 40% lower social class, harder life, no land or personal freedom, dependent on estate owners.
  • Nanzan, the remainder who are hereditary household slaves, called "livestock that can talk", bottom rung of society, owners treated them as private property, can be traded, given as gifts or use them for debts.
