J-15 carrier-borne fighter thread

Captain
Is China contemplating J-15 with non-folding wings, strengthened airframe and higher weapons load. China PLAN is not in hurry and are evaluating the first batch for training and induction. PLAN is keenly awaiting aircraft carrier zero CVN-17 to test the J-15 and also test the next iteration of it. Chinesessites are full of speculations.

China does have a J-15 with non-folding wings; it's called the J-11B. If it serves aboard an aircraft carrier, it needs to have folding wings.

Doesn't make sense . J-15 already cannot utilize max payload when taking-off from Liaoning . Also, such a large aircraft with non-folding wings would require large carrier elevators and lot of space in the hangar . It would be impractical even for Gerald Ford class, not to mention much smaller Chinese carrier or carriers .

J-15 block-II is not J-11BS or any other existing model. It would be twin seater where seats are side by side, wider fuselodge, larger fuel carrying capacity and heavier weapons load. PLAN is looking for to use it on EMALS bases deck and experimental tracks. It would be used from coastal defence locations also.

It would give them an advantage in range and per sortie loads.

China is aggressively experimenting the EMALS.

In experimental aircraft carrier CVN-17 (or CV-17)

Just a hint like "Actual secret stealth fighters of China" was revealed much earlier than J-20 flight testing. Current prototype of J-20 is very similar to that information.

@ Melcane !

To admit I'm really surprised: first of all by Your altitude to present certain things here that are either completely against anything we "know" so far and even more You tell them as if You are the only one who know them ... honestly to admit; a bit strange !

BY the way regarding this Super-J-20-beining a fake report ... did You even had a lokk at the date it was posted ??? ;) ... need I tell You more ?:p

But let's have a look at Your post:

...

o.k..

- why the heck do You think a Block II will have such features ?ßThere are zero to no indication that such a version is under development and from all we know a J-15B will have an AESA ... so far nothing more.
- why should the PLN use such a version with EMALS from special costal defence locations or experimental tracks ?? Sorry, but that's completely BS ...

Honestly either You give us a source for Your "facts" or You post these idiotic remarks as "my ideas" ...

Personally, I doubt there is or will be a clearly-defined second variant of the J-15. It has been an evolutionary platform and I would expect all production jets to adopt bells and whistles like AESA radars once they serve, even if gradually.

I think I - and most here - completely agree with You ... You need to explain that to Melcane.

I don't think Melcane has the right attitude for this forum

This type of "I know better attitude" will not do him well here

Deino is the one of the most educated people with regards to PLAAF I doubt you could question his authenticity

In other words, it would be NOTHING like the J-15. It would be a whole new aircraft and not a J-15 "Block" of any sort..

Sorry, Melcane, you are talking to VERY knowledgeable people here. The stuff you are describing is pure fan boy material.

Just a hint like "Actual secret stealth fighters of China" was revealed much earlier than J-20 flight testing. Current prototype of J-20 is very similar to that information.
Just a hint to you in return.

Spend some time her on SD and get to know the posters.

Deino and others are published authors with a lot of experience, knowledge, and reputation about these things. They have been doing this on SD for over ten years.

You should listen to Deino when he posts to you and not try and counter him with this "secret 'stuff' for China" comments and links.

On the internet you can find a link to say almost anything. That does not mean it is correct or even remotely credible.
