I'm going to place a favorite film of mine in this thread.

Last evening I watched an older English "Film Noir" on youtube via my Roku..

"Tiger Bay" 1959 starring John Mills, Haley Mills & Horst Buchholz. I had seen it oh about 45 years ago on late night Tv...yea..I'm just a little older than most of you...

This is an OUTSTANDING film.

Have woken up to some very sad new today
Edgar Froese, founder and mainstay of my favourite band; Tangerine Dream, has died on Tuesday aged 70.

After nearly 50 years and more albums that I can count, its difficult to find tracks that represent his full career.
Instead I will post two of my long term favourites - which mean they from the older half of their output.

I just hope that the rest of the band will keep it going

Holy Cow Sam??? I'm listening to that, and while its kinda funky Kool, I'm already feeling gloomy and its a gorgeous day here in Central Obamstan, wonder what our buddy Obi-Wan thinks of your music??? any comment from the Jedi Master?

I'm gonna have to have a cleanse and listen to Golden Rings by Cymmaron, aaaahhhh, that feels better???

Technically these are not TV shows but horror movies. These are movies with low budget and nameless actors that often get panned by the critics and fans a like. However a few of them have great music and songs that are composed and performed by artists that are little known. But they produce some excellent songs and music non the less. Here are my two favorites.

The first one is from the movie Day of the Dead (1985) with the song The World Inside your Eyes.

The second one is the main theme from the movie Creepozoids (1987) and the theme music is composed by Guy Moon. Who later did a lot of work composing music for cartoons and other children's programs. This was his first job composing for a movie.

I loved these old Cartoons and the Max Fletcher 1940's vintage Superman holds up as a classic.
In the 1990's Warner Brothers and DC created Batman the Animated series
Which if you watch it is a huge homage to the Fleischer Cartoons. The Square Jaw, Art deco, style Gotham Police watched over the city with Airships, Airplanes in the series had propellers except for the bat Wing and computers it was all very 1940's 1950's there was even a episode with a autogyro.

and they had some great voice talents.
They even introduced a few originals for the series that ended up being made into the Comic lore like Harley Quinn,
pretty much took DC back into Vogue as soon after they started the Superman Animated series, Justice league and Justice League unlimited, Static Shock, and Batman beyond
