b787, in my case it's Navies of the World :) (and their History since the 1905 Dreadnought) it'll sound silly but the Soviet warships and naval weapons were so ugly that I started to like them
i know the feeling some machines are ugly but their ugliness becomes attractive.

I love this machine

Looks like economic sanctions are hurting the Russian T-50 program. Only 12 will be built by 2020?o_O

citing comments from the Deputy Defense Minister in charge of Armaments Yuri Borisov.

Russia previously had plans to produce 52 fifth-generation T-50 fighters by 2020. However, these plans have been drastically scaled back. The Kremlin will now only procure 12 of the new jets.

. “It is better to have the PAK FA kept as a reserve, and later move forward, while squeezing everything possible for now out of the 4+ generation fighters."

The 4+ generation fighters are aircraft like the Russian Su-30 and Su-34 which generally feature radar and avionics upgrades over older models.

As part of a proposed air force modernization plan, Russia had already introduced 34 Su-30s and 20 Su-34s into its fleet.

that was set to last through 2020. The multi-billion dollar initiative was meant to reinforce Russia's aging military with modern aircraft, the fifth-generation T-50, helicopters, and air defense systems.

it will also impact the Indian plans.

Sorry Jeff, but I must ask....why would it impact the indian plans? I thought India is not the one being sanction. In fact I think India's economy is now going to go leaps and bound after the "Obama pivot" - they are already surpassing China last quarter on the growth.

Also, if I am not mistaken - PAK FA / T-50 is a co-development and co-production programme - meaning as long as the indians gets the production blueprints they will not be limit by sanctions which affects Russia.

Because Indians don't make any stealth aircraft development 100% on their own. So that means in your argument by 2020 if all equal being said Russia will get 6 T-50 aircrafts and India will get the other 6?o_O Co-productions does not mean equal turn out.
