Today, Hu Jintao kicked off a 5-nation tour, which includes the United States, with a visit to Seattle, the economic epicenter of the Northwest. He met and talked with the govenor of Washington, as well as conducting a tour of Microsoft. Hu displayed an interest in Microsoft products as well as the other products offered by the Northwest, and promises closer buisness relations with the state of Washington as well as increasing Chinese imports of American goods. This is the first time Hu has visited the US since the beginning of his presidency.
