It seems to me fairly accurate, but I also can't confirm some of the stuff like Type 901 or the submarines. It claims that 2 093B have been launched, but I've only seen evidence of 1 thus far.

Hmmm.

IS this supposed to represent what will be building in 2015?

This is an interesting item:

1 x Porte-avions de Type 001A

Is that the carrier?

Yes, and yes.

I think it's meant to show ships in 2015 that either are currently or will be under some kind of fabrication, assembly, launch, fitting out, or sea trials by a shipyard.

And I think the assumption is that 001A is in early stages of fabrication... but who knows, we've been guessing for the last five to ten years.

Here's a picture from WC and by all account seems to be the 3rd LST launched

Looks like PLAN is seriously modernising it's landing fleet

What class in your posts ? PLAN get many LST classes precise it please ;)

This is referred to as Yuting III class or Type 072A

Currently there is
3 x Type 072
4 x Type 072 II
10 x Type 072 III
and 9 x Type 072A

With another 3 units launched recently that means so far 9+3 = 12 x Type 072A

So total fleet is 29 x Type 072 of all classes

However these units might replace the older original 3 x Type 072 so fleet size remains at 26 units
