But one has to admit that such design layout (not talking about the mechanical realities here) would be better than that on the real QBZ-95 series.

Apart from being a highly suspicious picture, this is a plausible direction of improvement for original QBZ-95, yes.

According to my experience, the thing that looks like a 'handle' on real QBZ-95 is actually not a handle at all.

When I was doing a 5000m cross country course with all equipment during my military training, I (and many others) used the handle-like thing as a handle while running, the drill sergeant slapped his hand on our helmets really hard, saying that may cause irreversible deformation on that thing.

Furthermore, the 'handle' is too 'tall' and thus affects the line of sight. It is not obvious when using the iron sight, but it would be really inconvenient if an optical or ACOG sight is installed. Changing the 'handle' to tactical rail would be surely welcomed. However, Our small arms designers seemed to have a bad reputation at things like tactical rails and ACOG/optical sights on the said rail.

The term sight bridge is used on the HK G36 series. My personal experience with a M16A2 agrees, outside of Hollywood movies the carry Handle is not a Handle. But a sight riser. The only time I have seen a AR carry Handel used as a Handle is on a novelty beer Stine made of forged aluminum with milled M1913 rail interface. The function on the QBZ 95 is mostly as a sight riser and then as a guard for the charging Handle. But with lack of a better term we call it a carry Handle despite the fact it sucks at that to.

That reminds me of M16A1 (and I was issued a M16 Vietnam variant even, when I was in the unit) in the days I did my National Service in Singapore...the handle on the M16 wasn't really good as a "handle" because of the groove which isn't that comfortable to grip, better if gripping somewhere else...and it could be a potential source of injury during all them ducking and scooting, hitting your chin if you know what I mean.

And the all-polymer QBZ-95...if that handle bar part wasn't reinforced internally it could present the problem as mentioned. So they really better off get rid of it altogether, move the charging handle to the side, further lower the sights.

Could someone list all branches of Chinese military & police what are using QBZ-03 instead of QBZ-95? I know that paratroopers, medical units, supply units, border guards and police are using it. Have I missed anything?

These pictures look really suspicious.

First:

The part inside the red circle is identical to the barrel lock on SCAR-L. This was designed for quick change of gun barrel on SCAR series, and Chinese Type 95 does not have such feature, nor its barrel designed to support this feature.

By the way, being a Chinese national, I used Type 95 a lot during my military training when I was studying in university, and I can safely say the cartridge ejection port is highly similar to the ones on rubber/plastic mock training model.

My conclusion is, this is a combination of the upper receiver of SCAR-L BB gun and the lower receiver of a mock model Type 95.

PS: If anyone is interested in my experience of college military training, or military training in China's education system as a whole, please tell me and I will open a new thread.

The word from a parallel discussion in CDF also seems to agree with your conclusion, which referred to Chinese BBS DBoy and QBSJ is that this gun is a hoax. Someone mated an airsoft SCAR upper to a type 95 rubber training gun.

Norinco is a Fortune 500 company.

The information you got is wrong.

According to your quoted source, Norinco "has been ranked among the forefront of China’s 500 largest state-owned enterprises in terms of total assets and revenue." This doesn't have the same meaning as a Fortune 500 company as the commonly understood meaning of the term.
