A nice completed picture of 052D from the same angle but divided up from a while ago

Not completed yet. The Radar dome above the main pilot house is still not showing. The one they are fitting out now.

I meant that the picture was completed, because a few pages back there were some photos of this same shot but divided into multiple frames. Post 3706 of this thread.

Clearly the 052D in the picture wasn't completed, when it was taken it still obviously lacked the mineral me and the type 517

Note in my post I said "a nice completed picture of 052D" and not "a nice picture of a completed 052D" :)

That's a very nice pic of D1 and D2.

D1 is getting its final outfitting there and I am sure they will apply the lessons learned from her initial sea trials to D2.

I wonder how far along D4 is in the barn?

it looks to almost be ready to launch from last set of photos. I'm guessing March or April.

this was a live fire exercise back in Feb of 2012. I never seen it before, so apologies if it is a repost.
These are not 052C, it's Type 071.

okay, I see what you mean now. Just wanted to make sure nobody thought that it was a completed DDG without those toehr things, but I understand now in relation to the other pic.

Sorry for any mis-comm.

it's certainly great to see that they are doing these training exercises further and further away from home base.

They purposely choose to enter Indian Ocean through lombok strait to avoid angering India. The shortest route to Indian Ocean is through the strait of Melaka or Sunda strait.

Yes, and as they do this more and more...like the Type 054As in the Med, and the Anti-piracy missions, and the exercises in the Pacific, it will become more and more obvious to anyone watching that they have developed their "blue water" capability.

I'd like to see one the new Type 093 SSNs accompanying some of these task forces...particularly later as the carrier and its group ranges further from the mainland.
