so its mean they reloaded this missile manually?

I don't know, perhaps dockside it is a manual reload or they may have an auto reloader. But I doubt they have any means of reloading while ship is at sea simply because I don't see room to store missile reloads or a reloading device.

My visit onboard one last year don't recall it has any room on that deck below it has any reloading facility whatsoever - on the sides are the triple torpedo launcher, amidship is the control room for the helipad.

If there's any reloading at sea, it'll be a manual one, the good'o taking ammo from the lockers from below decks, pass it up the ladder and stuff.

It is unnecessary anyway for 056 to have auto reloader. Remember it is meant to operate within 1st island chain with a lot of support both from land and other ships. But I'd like to see it has more than 8 SAM, perhaps 16

Given the size the missile, the space required for a magazine and autoloader, not to mention the added mechanical complexity, I think it's best the autoloader is left out on a ship of 056's size.

Even the good ol' USN is doing manual reloading for the RIM-116.

If the design called for more missiles, then it'd make more sense to simply install a launcher that held more rounds, instead of an 8 round launcher + reloading crane + stored rounds.

I think 8 is fine, as you mentioned, within the 1st island chain, it has plenty of support from land and other ships. 16 may make it ungainly top heavy.

It would be interesting that instead of the current format of essentially a fixed box on a turrent and missiles are individually loaded, they create a box that is easily snapped on and snapped off a turrent. So when it comes time to reload dockside, instead of that pic with 8 guys, a pulley, a raised platform, and a dolly while the ship is bobbing up and down; it would simply be a preloaded box swapped in for the empty box with perhaps a crane and 2 guys?

I'm actually more of a fan for the stanflex module concept. IMO if the 056 can be equipped with 2-3 such modules, you'd simply swap them as needed per mission profile.
