Ok. You are right, they did state that it overcome some key obstacles... but they never say that those things that was being overcome included an increased range of 2 to 3 times.
The translation of Hardware is highly misleading (as always). He never mentioned anything about what the Chinese had overcome, instead simply say that the Chinese had achieved something and the range was increased 2~3 times. Plus the passage clearly stated 5th Gen copter, not 4th gen copters (as in accordance to the world's helicopter generation).
I was not happy at that Hardware always came up with some passage that he ripped from somewhere without actually giving direct links to these information, then provide semi or downright wrong translation of the what the information stated. No one had any idea whether the information was right or the source was accurate or not, just one list of some chinese characters that can be fictional or otherwise. Then the bad or wrong translation to mislead other non-chinese readers in this forum.
Although my Chinese is kind of rusty, but I can easily capture mistakes and misleading information by Hardware often... and that really pissed me off.
My point is... if you wanted to share some information... by all means... but at least give some credible links and references... and if translation is needed, give some accurate one and not misleading others into thinking something that is totally not what the 'real' author meant.
