Re: Here's what's coming!

Well, in our small town, they show a single movie for a week, once a day at 7 PM, six days per week. It's $3 dollars and they are usually about 4 weeks behind the releases. So we watch their schedule and catch the ones we can there. Otherwise we drive 25 miles over to Meridian (next to Boise) and catch a matinee...always a matinee and they are $7 for seniors (55 and over there). We see the most there. They have a deal where you get a large bucket of popcorn and keep the plastic bucket. It's $15 the first time, but then for 18 months, if you bring that bucket, it is $3.00 per fill.

I had heard too much negative from friends about Hansel and Getel and so never went to see it. You just confirmed that decision, thanks!

We will take the Grandkids to see Oz the Great and Powerful, maybe Jack the Giant Killer (after we see it to make sure it is suitable), and certainly Despicable Me 2 and the Smurfs 2.

I saw "Flight" as an alternative after i walked out of my first choice movie.I enjoy Denzel Washintong as an actor, and his battle to escape the charges of being intoxicated while flying, i a commercial flight which crashed for other reasons quite thoughtful as it reminded me how i drunk in my younger days.
Regular price at the movies cost $16.
While I mostly watch the movies at the local complex I somtimes make for the big smoke and watch movies at the theatre i use to go as a kid. Its still there , the Wurlitzer and immitation Barocq look.

In my uni days we use to pay $5 to go to a midnight to 6 sci fi horror movie showing. Boy they were cheesy. I remember on one occassion there was this scene with the heroine traped in the restroom screaming her head off as some monster was trying to get her , while her boyfriends outside filling up the car, then suddenly flip flip flap flap as the the last real finishes and a moments silence , then a message flashes up on the screen

" Sorry folks we've misplaced the last reel.

About movies, I'm quite interested in "host". The book is quite good.
Yes...I neglected to add Host to the list, though I am not sure when it is coming out. We do intend to see it though.

Just come back from watching the latest "Die Hard" as my Sunday morning movie intake, have a break then going back to watch the Anna Karenina movie in the afternoon.
I think this Die Hard movie would have to be the worst but the Russian villains were still good. I saw the shorts to the Gi Joe movie again, with the scene of the Ninjas swinging on ropes in the mountains truly impressive. Im finding it hard to tell whether the scene was shot using green screen or mostly CGI though.

I rented DREDD on dvd last night and it was better than I thought. I have to say it didn't have the big stars like the first Judge Dredd movie with Sly Stallone and Sandra Bullock, but the plot and the action the latest one was better.

whats happened to friday night with the ladies?

I never saw the first one to make a comparison. I dont know why but i found the movie irritating. While its fresh in your mind, can you tell me in the end scene why Dredd decided she was bluffing about killing her and the whole building would blow.

I dunno, Karl Urban (Judge Dredd) is a pretty big star. He was McCoy in Star Trek, starred with Bruce Willis in R.E.D., was one of the main Human characters for the Human side in the third part of Lord of the Rings, was the number 2 bad guy in The Chronicles of Riddick, etc. Pretty important parts in big name titles.

He never took off his helmet the entire time in Judge Dredd though...
