I have completed both my CVN-65 USS Enterprise Model in 1/350 scale as well as my CV-16 Liaoning in 1/350 scale.

This evening, as part of my own Chritsmas Eve "Celebrations" I set them up side by side on our dinner table and took a few pics (After getting approval from the Boss).

Here they are (Enjoy, and Merry Christmas!):

Nothing like being able to compare the various systems and deck layouts up close and personal like this.

Simply Great Jeff. You are one of the very few who can do detailed models of ships. Where can one buy one of your models? Merry Christmas. Advill

Thanks. I am statrtng on a Flight IIA Burke Class DDG now. I have the rest of an entire US CBG and an entire ARG (with a 1/350 scale USS Iwo Jima, LHD-7 and USS Sommerset, LDP-25), along with the rest of the vessels for the entire PLAN CSG, including two Type 054A FFGs.

Also have a complete French CSG centered on the Charles de Gualle, a Japanese group centered on the Hyuga and a British group centered on the Illustrious. I have all the vessels for a Russian group except the carrier, and have purchased the Foch which I will convert and build as the Sao Paulo...but coming up with the Brazilian escorts is proving difficult.

Anyhow, I rarely sell these. I have sold some of my older 1/350 scale vessels on ebay (all of which sell well) and I intend to sell all of my older 1/700 scale vessels, which inlcude a US CSG and the Russian CSG soon. Have also sold numerous older 1/72 scale aircraft and will be seliing a few more soon. Now that I have bought a new 1/72 scale F/A-18F Superhornet, P-8A Posiedon, and EA-18G Growler, I will soon sell my very well detailed F-14B Tomcat, EA-6B Proweler and P-3C Orion. They are all very well detailed, including the cockpits and should sell well there too.

Fantastic work Jeff ! But the USS Enterprise is now decommissioned. Do you have a model of any of the Nimitz class carriers since those are the only carriers now operational in the USN. I would love to see the comparison between those two classes of carriers.

I'm waiting for the USS Ford to come out in 1/350 scale.

The only 1/350 model of the Nimitz out now is an older model of the Nimitz itself by Trumpeter and it does not include any of the newer innovations built into the Reagan or particularly the George Bush.

The basic deck layout and operations on the Enterprise are very similar to the Nimitz class overall. Though the reactors are much different, you will not see those kind of differences in these models.

I could buy a very expensize, already built 1/350 scale model of the USS Ford in mahoganey...but they are VERY expensive. I'd rather just wait for Trumpeter or Gallery, or someone to come out with it as a plastic model and just build it myself. Same with the Queen Elizabeth class from the UK.

In the mean time, having a CSG built around my model of the Enterprise is very useful to me...she was plowing the waves just a few weeks ago, and she was up to standards for the Nimitz class right up until she was decommissioned.

Yes, I have the Ronald Reagan which I revised from the Trumpeter Nimtz, and the USS Enterprise CVN-80 (3rd Ford) which I also revised from the Trumpeter nNimitz model. Here are two vdeos on you tube of them:
