Re: Type 071 LPD

I had expected this thread to have been closed already. It is too old.
Why close it. There's still a lot to discuss regarding the Yuzhao, Tpe 071 LPD class. There are three now and the PLAN has a lot to do to intergrate them and their new capabilities into their Amphibious operations.

Anyhow, as long as people stick with the rules, my vote would be to keep it going. I just got one of the best pics of the Type 071 this last week from this thread, the one with the three of them all lined up at dock.

Good stuff.

Oops...my bad. I was thinking this was the newer thread, "Type 071 LPD and the Landing Craft," which is the new thread from which I got the pic. Yea, this one is older and could be shut down because most of the posting has been occurring on that other thread for a long time.

Re: Type 071 LPD

There is already another sticky thread on the 071 so maybe the two can be merged, or one closed to prevent confusion about flow of discussion?

I don't like how they are tying them together so close, remind me of pearl harbor.

Pearl Harbor had a bunch of old battleships tied up ready to be destroyed while the new carriers all happened to be out that day. If you want a more appropriate analogy those 071's would be out to sea while a bunch of Jianghus and Ludas were tied up at pierside.
