Escobar, we have plenty of j-10 pictures. Please add some comments if it's on something we don't know what's going on like the one where the pilots are talking to some people. Some context would be great. Otherwise, it's kind of useless. And for the last post, just add some comments on which day it's from or something. This is not just a picture thread.

Allow me to add a comment on those 3 cheesy J-10 photos:

they appear to me having more colourful schemes than that of Kungfu Panda...desinged by a 9-year-old?

I believe that the J-10B will come in to service in China. The reason that i think it has taken so long to be produced is that the J-10B is so heavily modified from the J-10A that it's almost a completely new plane. With redesigned fuselage and wings, ASEA radar, DSI and domestically build engines. They will have to do a lot of modification on the digital fly by wire system and the software that controls the plane may have to be rewritten from scratch. It will also feature new and improved avionic's and fire control systems for the AESA. All these things need to be tested over and over again and if need be redesigned and all of that takes a lot of time.

May be there is some thing more to it; is there a possibility that J 10 is being further modified to enhance its stealth characteristics?

If J 10 is to be produced beyond 2020 than it must have some sort of stealth to survive in modern warfare.

Forum participants. I am new to this forum but a long time defence enthusiastic. Can any body give me a glimmer of hope about how Pakistan will coupe with recent Indian Purchase of Rafale. Can our J-10B (assuming Pakistan will eventually have these planes) stand up to possible future Indian adventure? Because right now the IAF with fleet of Rafales and PAKFA ( I am looking into future) looking a formidable air force in the region and I hate to admit and write that.

Those aircraft will take long time to be inducted.. In fact, IAF is fearing itself for the vulnerable period of now to 2017 where large number of MIG-21 bison arr retiring. As for PAFKA, it's not even confirm yet. We haven even seen it in service for the Russia airforce. It's still a big question mark. As for J-10, with a decent AESA install and ECM, it will be as good as Rafale.

Lion be careful, it is well know for certain members to make a new account and make such posts under pre-text of different nationalitys

anyone who calls himself a "long time defence enthusiast" should know the answer to such a question, making a muslim name (pretending to be Pakistani) and posting on a forum isnt very hard, pretending to over-hype and simply troll

any Pakistani would not ask such a question, mods please be alerted

not really, just look at Typhoon

J10B is a formidable aircraft, just look at its systems and design layout

if Pakistan gets J10B it can wipe the floor against Rafale any day of the week but right now PAF simply cant even absorb a new fighter, especially something as sophisticated as J10B

a new era has opened up for Pakistan Air Force, in the last few years Erieye, ZDK-03, mid air refuelers IL-78 and Spada 2000 surface to air missiles have taken PAF to a new platform

in addition, fighters like JF17 and F16 C/D Block 52+ have given the airforce new technology that we only dreamed off

for decades we stood with vintage aircraft, all that has suddenly changed in part thanks to our long time friend China
