The last of the three CMA pictures is strictly speaking a (naval) J-11BS – the full number for 08 is 81088. This means it is one of four J-11BS for 22 PLANAF Regiment Jialai, Hainan.

according australia airpower,Phozotron offering Zhuk-ASE AESA to PLAAF to retrofit J-11 and SU-30MK,but to date there is no response from PLAAF,which could be hint about PLAAF own AESA radar program for J-11.

Zhuk-ASE just suck compare with what they have right now. and suckier compare against what they have in pipeline.

plus the risk of leakin' it to who ever is willing to pay.

also remember it is a integrated solution now, not just a radar. EW, ELINT, firecontrol and battlemanagement, all tied up in integrated package.

J-15 carrying 2 PL-8 and 2 PL-12 -- a decent A2A loadout and one that should be able to be hauled off a ski jump while retaining good range.
PLANAF will be fortunate to start off with such a large and capable aircraft as their first carrier plane.
