Apparently from sinosoldier's pics HN-3 is supposed to be the stealthy one.

@ sinosoldier

The first picture and the scribd link make interesting reads, but I somewhat doubt their validity. the 2049 report says HN-3 (also called DH-10A, wtf?) is supposed to have been tested in 2004 and gone into production and is in service... yet we have no widely distributed pictures or rumours about it. Shedding more doubt, is that the standard DH-10 went into service around that time too. Something doesn't quite add up.

I'd like to know when the magazine scan was from though.
My idea is either this "HN-3" was under development for a while and then cancelled in favour for DH-10, or it was part of the whole chinese cruise missile fiasco in the years prior to DH-10's unveiling and was thus peddled by fanboys on the internet and regurgitated by unknowing western think tanks.

At the very least, the consensus should be HN-3 "probably" doesn't exist rather than it does.

I think the HN-3 was dropped. Just like the AGM-129, probably for the same reasons.

How can it be dropped if it was only a fan's wishfull thinking !

IMO the whole HN_series is simply a hoax.

A "hoax" that is widely reported by numerous sources such as AusAirpower, GlobalSecurity, Missilethreat, including a picture of a HN-II?

unless there is picture of HN cruise missile taken from US spy satelite.according to JDW. the high resolution of US IMINT satelite allow the operator to tell what kind of uniform he or she is wearing.
good example was during the 80's pentagon published a book "Soviet Military Power" the book contain drawing of new soviet military hardware ,most drawing come from photo image taken from US KH-11 spy satelite.

And You call them "relliable" first hand sources ???:D... these are as reliable as the rumoured F-117-look alike H-9, the hypersomic H-10 and the hyper-super STOVL J-18.

I don't think stealthy cruise missile is absent from China arsenal. Think about it, from GPS statelites, 5th Gen fighter jet to ICBM with MIRV plus Fire and Forget ATGM. China all can produced by herself. What makes you think is stopping China from producing stealthy shaping cruise missile. It probably is some top secret which is still hiding from media and public.

Nobody say that stealthy cruise missile is absent from China arsenal. We doubt about the designation "HN"

If their previous articles on PLA weaponry are fairly accurate (which they are), then yes, my extrapolation is that their bit on the HN-3 might be something we want to look at.
