So a JF-17 crashed, it was possibly on fire before it crashed and the ejection seat failed? What kind of garbage is China building?

what kind of garbage are you spewing out? the ejection seat is Martin Baker, and the most prominent cause of the crash is bird strike, and it is made in Pakistan, quality nevertheless

F-22s, F-18s, F-16s have all crashed, so have SU-30 MKIs. So has every frontline fighter aircraft the US, Russia, France, and anyone else has ever built. The IAF actually looses hundreds of aircraft to crashes every decade, deplorable maintainance and still they don't seem to mind. The JF17 had it's first flight in 2003, and this is the first one ever to crash, in 2011.

Alot of speculation about the crash having to do with the Russian engine failing. And the much-vaunted Martin-Baker ejection seats(the JF17 uses the same model used in the F-35 Lightening II) also failed to launch the chute. Even the airframe and structural components we build, we use Swedish-origin aeronautics machinery(the stuff they use to manufacture the JAS-39 Gripen airframe), it offered a better build-quality than what was available with China at that time. Only the completely uninformed would try to pin this on the aircraft, Chinese/Pakistani manufacturing.

If my eyes serve me right, the crashed JF-17 is in yellow color. What does this suggest? The aircraft might be a newly built and under flight test. The crashed one might be built in Pakistan.

Serial number was 11-14x

The plane was for the third squadron.

Will inform if i get more info.

Did you confirm with PAF sources?

Also, does that mean that @SteelBird above was right, and this JF17 was indeed painted yellow(and was being tested prior to induction)?

Just a week or so ago a RAF Red arrows pilot died when his ejection seat activated while the Hawk Jet was still on the ground. The parachute did not deploy so the pilot was killed.
