Not to sure what you are trying to infer here.

Well I'm wondering if China could pull up the "oh they're just civilian manned surveillance vessels" card. And the japanese could search the fishing vessels but not find surveillance equipment, and china could just troll by saying "yeah the FISH was our surveillance assets... how's that for next gen ISR?"

But I digress.

I wonder If China has asked for Korea's permission or the very least notify her aboutl the Varyag's impending excursion in the Yellow sea and beyond?

Would they need to? Unless they're infringing directly into Korea's EEZ that is.
If you're comparing with China's own sensitivity wrt us-korean naval exercises, I believe that is a bit flawed because China was more irritated due to the exercise's proximity to beijing and that it wasn't exactly timed to perfection (at a time of high tension on the peninsula if I remember right).

Good for Japan, give China a taste of its own medicine. Funny how even now Japan still humiliating China and there is nothing China could do about it.

Let's knock off the obvious trolling and keep discussion productive.

Get yourself educated and don't live in your imagination. Viarsa Incident is famous because its unusually long chase. Fishing intrusion happens all the time and world media simply doesn't report.

Just 5 days ago Japan arrested the captain of a Korean fishing ship and nothing made into western media.

One month ago Japan arrested he captain of a Taiwanese fishing ship and nothing made into western media.

Earlier this year another Korean ship got held by Japan and no one in the west care to report.

ERrr if they arent reported then there would not be ANY record how do you get the above info and isnt straitstimes part of the world media?

If we're to be more pedantic about it, I think "world media" should be "western media," and general "amount of coverage" given to each story.

thats ok if you want to play it that way, but his original statement to which I was responding to made no such specification
POst 16:
"If it happens in undisputed water, what is the big deal?! Fishing intrusions happen all the time and nobody reports" :p

Futhermore if you look intodays Sunday Star Times , and on the front page, leading news about Some Korean Fishing misdeads.

Goes unreported indeed...... humbug

Fair enough, I was just trying to be charitable -- I doubt he literally meant "nobody" reports on these incidents, in which case he'd have a very hard to backing the statement up.

When I say world media I obviously refer to media has readers all over the world like Reuter. Certainly things get reported by local media. You can play the word game if you want. But it will only shows hypocrisy.

StraitTimes is an asian paper that does not have an established worldwide readership. While the incident involving China went to Reuter and got all over the world as on US yahoo news. You can claim that you don't see the difference between Strait Times and Reuter, but that will only tell either ignorance or dishonesty.

"This is what you said in post 16 The First Paragraph is what I was replying to. (Show me where you are using the word media) "

No reference to Western Media here (No Hypocrysy on my part)

Lets Face it , you are just being cute, because AFTER i replied to that particular point you then changed the parameters of your statement by including the word Western Media in later posts.

It seems you like my post at 16th a lot, then why don't you cite the whole post? Or are you afraid that would make you look like someone who can only back himself up by picking others words?

This is post 16:

If it happens in undisputed water, what is the big deal?! Fishing intrusions happen all the time and nobody reports.

Now someone has called in Reuter and made a lot of noise worldwide. That is a calculated move, and is antagonizing China.

Did I mention Reuter? Did I mention worldwide? It is BEFORE or AFTER you "replied to that particular point" which I suppose is post 20? Is there hypocrisy in your part now?
